The really important upgrade more battery life has not been delivered, have to say I’m disappointed, if I charge it at night I can’t use the sleep features and charging it at day is a pain

I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the fall detection feature. If I'm doing an active sport like snowboarding and I happen to fall, will I have to tap my watch every time? I don't want my watch calling my emergency contact for every fall if I happen to not get back up within the allotted minute.
My guess is it is optional.

I am pleased to hear of your interest. I am not a doc. However, I just read an article from 2015 stating that there’s only a 50% correlation between a one lead and 12 lead ECG.

I am very concerned with false positives. My wife had a false positive for pulmonary hypertension. It turned out the test that they used was only reliable if the patient was sick with heart disease to begin with. It made for a month of tension as her mother had pulmonary hypertension and it is a very scary disease.

Thus I am unsure about a watch that may have a high probability of giving a false positive.

Thanks. Yes, all absolutely fair comments. If I had atrial fibrillation, I think the breathlessness and racing heartbeat would give it away, before my watch told me about it. And yes, false +ves are the curse of many tech medical solutions.
I guess I'm just enthusiastic about the potential and direction. So much in medicine is in dire need of tech solutions, and whilst it won't happen overnight, and may take several iterations/generations of a device to achieve the required sensitivity and specificity we need in medical practice, I remain positive, enthusiastic and hopeful that tech companies like Apple will aid this momentum and direction.

was the increase really necessary tho? LTE is going from $429 to $499 for the 42mm

Ehmm the software will it be also available on previous versions or only at 4 ?

Looks like 5 is available on all but the original watch. But i'm wondering what faces, etc are limited to the new watches. I have a series 2 and I imagine a few of the newer features and faces won't be compatible.

Was prepared to purchase after amazing new features... But increase in price puts it out of my range :(

Many times, I've worn my watch accidently at night. It's at 30% in the morning. It charges very quickly. After I get to work, I charge it for 90 minutes (8:00am to 9:30am), and it's back to 100%.

Perfectly satisfied with my Series 1 watch, but this is great for new customers.

Might upgrade at Series 5 or wait it out for 6, depends on how long mine holds up.

I mean it's great that you're satisfied, but there is certainly a case to be made for all the advancements since S1. I traded my S2 last week, so will be camping the online store Friday. Wish we could just order now to be done with it.

I was personally happy to get $175 back from my S2 with an easy and risk-free transaction, rather than waiting until it's worth nothing.

So if I get the SS version with LTE, can I still use it like a non LTE version? (like my series 0) not intetested in paying extra per month amd also giving up my grandfathered unlimited.
Yes. You don't have to activate it.

Yeah I mean I can toss it on the charger while I'm in the shower and it's surprising how much it tops off.
