Arbitrary software exclusion for older devices is what Apple always does, so I dunno why people are surprised? I grew increasingly tired of Apple's nonsense that the only product I own from them now is a Macbook.
Night mode isn’t automatic on the first gen ultra.Does the Night Mode come on automatically for the Ultra 1 too? There's only one watch face thus far that uses night mode. Does night mode propagate to other watch faces?
That's too bad because it looks like it also has an auto-brightness detector and software-wise, it could be implemented.Night mode isn’t automatic on the first gen ultra.
Maybe the ambient light sensor in the first gen isn’t good enough. Or maybe Apple are being their usual self. That's too bad because it looks like it also has an auto-brightness detector and software-wise, it could be implemented.
Yeah, it could be basically a way to differential the models artificially.Maybe the ambient light sensor in the first gen isn’t good enough. Or maybe Apple are being their usual self.
I’m running the beta and no change in that for night mode. Unless the RC changes that, but I doubt it.
Just pre order today and in stores on 22nd. Didn’t say what time.Did they say what time it goes on sale?

I haven't worn a black watch since Timex Ironman. Twenty years ago.Apple dropped the ball NOT introducing Space Black Apple Watch Ultra 2.
Can order now. I just checked the Apple Store app.Did they say what time it goes on sale?
You might not want one, but many do. No harm in giving us the choice.Don't understand this wish for the black titanium version. The scratches would make the watch look horrible and people would complain that the titanium casing "isn't strong enough" when the natural titanium would becomes visible.
