Cool features, but is there really that large of a customer base that wants an Apple Watch for deep sea diving or running across the Sahara? I’m obviously not the target — just wondering why they didn’t market toward more “attainable” adventure sports.

Happy for those that will use this to its potential. But my only fitness is bodybuilding so no go for me

Next year they release the Pro version of this with the same design, large display, large battery, silver button instead of orange, etc. but without all the extreme sports stuff for $100 less.

My wife, for starters.

She runs marathons. She has had an Apple watch die out before she has finished; when you use the heart rate tracking, music playback, etc 4 hours seems to be the limit.

Apple is marketing this to extreme sports folks, but plenty that just run will want this as well for the battery life alone.

Nice watch, godawful bands. Hopefully there will be some third-party options.

How is that night mode feature supposed to work? Raise wrist, watch lights up and blinds you, then turn crown to dim?

This looks neat. And the price is lower than I thought, tbh.
I'm not in the market for one, though. I'm happy with my S6 and I'm sure it'll last me a good while longer.

Interesting. Wasn't expecting a watch geared toward athletes. I was hoping for one made for professionals or ones who wanted more function from the watch. Nice larger screen though.
