Ok...I eat my words...now that I've seen what iOS 7 will look like, I REALLY like it. Love the flatter look and all the new features. Think Apple hit it out of the park with this one. Can't wait for the fall, the new iphone & iOS 7!

I like iRadio too. I use Pandora now, but will definitely make the switch over to Apple's service as soon as its available. I have iTunes Match, so NO annoying ads YAY! :-D

I'm not in the market for a Mac Pro...but wow! Super cool design. Huge departure from the old box design. Love it. The keynote speaker was right when he said "Can't innovate anymore? My ass!" Lol.

Lots of Android Jelly Bean stuff here (animated weather backgrounds, background app updating, home screen notifications, intelligent allocating of open apps). Welcome. But not original

True, but this looks better than JB (I have a Nexus 4). JB is great but iOS 7 just leapfrogged Android. Add to this the fact that as Apple pointed out that Android is fragmented with only about 28% of Android users on JB (and most on 4.1.x instead of 4.2.x). Gingerbread is still the most common Android OS with 38.5% of users. That's sad since Gingerbread was pretty awful (ICS was play and Google finally got it right with JB).

well this update takes care pretty much of everything that i jailbroke for, so that's good. i just wish it didn't look like google...

Well, my streaming went down during iWork presentation so I missed a lot of this live. The blogs and pictures do not do this redesign justice. I was pretty unimpressed with it on the blogs, but after watching Apples.com iOS 7 video, it was awesome. Outside of some new hideous icons (GameCenter, Wtf?) this is a welcomed redesign and long overdue in many aspects.

I think it looks great! I'm excited to have all the controls in one place for Wifi and Bluetooth, etc.

Side note - Did anyone else notice everyone including Tim and Craig seemed way more relaxed (and funnier!) than the last few Keynotes and product releases.

Just posting my opinion.

After watching the entire thing the only thing that stuck out in my mind was the design changes, quick settings and iRadio. Again only stuck out in my mind, but not WOW factors.
Yah the design is very Apple-esque but the other 2... Quick settings should have been done a long time ago, and iRadio - leave it to Pandora/Spotify etc. other companies that already do this.

Overall there's not really any new functionality that screams wow and the overall OS is unchanged. "But don't fix what's not broken" ok well then stop jailbreaking your iPhones.

Sorry but i'm just REALLY happy i switched to Android. Yah yah "then get out of here and go be happy with your android"

and you know what i will. I'm sure i'll be getting a lot of crap for this and I really don't care, but i'm sure there are others that will agree with me. Maybe not many... but some.

The dreaded white background Safari icon was indeed true. I'm not sure I like it and I'm sure there will be those who follow me in this but at the same time I'm sure others will like it.

I'm with you on this, a few others I'm not sure on, but keep thinking they are only icons.

The actual OS though looks fantastic!

The UI looks great, but they totally forgot that contrast is important for readability.

There was also no mention of Siri APIs for developers, no paid app upgrades, and no trial versions for the App Store.

Being a fan of vivid colors, iOS 7 couldn't be more perfect. So much better without Forstall... Can't wait to get this on my iPad Mini.

********** ***t. **********, ********** ****. It's either the definition of idiotism either someone is destroying Apple on purpose. Google is applauding you, Tim. In 2 years you'll ruin everything. The UI is just hideous.

No thanks

I had a friend who showed me his Android phone. It was working slow so he opened up an app that killed all the other apps multitasking. I laughed and thought that was the dumbest thing I had ever seen for a phone.

Multitasking on a phone remains a stupid thing that will just lead to poor battery life and crashes. The screen is the interface, why would I want to run apps in the background? I am disappointed apple went this route. There just are no good reasons for background apps that have not already been addressed in apples current way of doing mutlitasking.

On 4S battery life has been a constant problem, so I will certainly not be updating until lots of people get enough experience with what iOS 7 does to the battery. Multitasking is useless, and hurting battery and having my phone heat up = double worthless.

And...its ugly. Flat is a trendy word for ugly apparently. We have a gamut of colors and other effects that convey information, but the design Gods have decided what we really want is a lack of information and just bland screens that look like they were developed by Soviet engineers for maximum blandess.

I will repeat what I have said before, the hatred of skeumorphism is an inter-design war that is being fought between a couple of design nerds. It contributes nothing and takes away nothing from the utility of apps, some design nerds just think its gross. So, when they got in charge they go so far away from it that they move into bland land.

Some of the other features look good. But I think the phone has had almost no useful improvements except system search and notification center. Wait, folders were good too.

Says the person with a sentence for "Location"?

iOS 7 looks phenomenal. There will be people that don't like it, and for the most part, they will be people that I don't like. Because, I typically don't like people that have no taste, or appreciation for intelligent design.

Slow your roll there professor. Nice comeback with something that has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

I wasn't saying that I like or dislike iOS7. I think they have made some polarizing design decisions and some nice new features for iOS, overall I am happy to see iOS finally get a refresh. I am not arrogant enough to call those who don't agree with me a troll, apparently you are.

I've been resisting using the Chrome app for some time now, but that new Safari app button looks really, really awful. This just might push me to switch to the Chrome app and hide that stupid looking Safari one in a folder...

And what's with the game center icon? At least the old one made it clear what the app was about, now it's just a bunch of circles? Clearly the design screams Jony with the minimalist/flat look (which works so well on hardware) but I don't think it translates well onto software, but I guess we'll see once it's released...

And the continued trend of arbitrarily holding back features to push sells of new devices. So sickeningly sad that they feel they have to hold things back just to push sales of devices.

Do you mean AirDrop?

It's not regulated by your processor speed or by a line of code but by the actual WiFi hardware in your phone. I believe the technology is WiFi direct.

And if you're talking about no longer supporting the 3GS with iOS 7... Then I'm afraid I have no words for you.

What was so mind blowing in OS X Mavericks? the fact that they finally added decent multi monitor support? Like us in windows have had since 2001 with Win XP? Or the new and life altering Finder Tags? Because that's basically the entirety of the new upgraded OS X. Hopefully they only charge 9.99 for it. OS X 10.7 was 29.99, OS X 10.8 was 19.99, so OS X 10.9 should be 9.99. And that's still too much for what little new features there are.

Or go the iOS way and offer all OS X updates for free. I'm sure it would increase Mac sales enough to account for the ~$280 million they would earn by charging for Mavericks.
