Apple knows that the cheapest MacBook Pro will be a guaranteed best seller, so this is their way of steering some of those would-be lower end MacBook Pro customers up a level to the M3 Pro chip price-point (assuming with fatter profit margins). They know many people will do this just to get the Space Black color. That’s absurd, really. How does the color get tied to the SoC??? Not the model of MBP.
Sort of called it .. the BlackBook is BACK!Now that is pretty.
^ THIS: Is THE only thing that should matter to Apple right now is the Mac.
hence Bring It Apple!
Now if M3 bring us Dark Matter type Apple symbol's on M3 Pro/Max/Ultra lineup for the MBP ... oooh yeah you know they Bringin'it!

And with it our Apple SoC digital pimp Jony returns!BlackBook is Back
As long as the PC world stay at 8GB RAM for base tier modals, Apple will do the same ... sadly. At this rate, the iPhone Pro Max will surpass entry level Macs!!The Pro and Max versions are not any cheaper, they just made an entry level 14 inch MacBook Pro with just the entry level M3. It's kinda similar to that entry level MacBook Pro without touch bar from 2016. They upgraded the default storage to 512 GBs, but it's still stuck at 8 GBs of RAM. Apple could have really push that up to at least 12 GBs.
Its all about them margins, if they can get you to spend more at purchase, even better. My future computing setup is to consolidate down to one desktop and laptop. This ultimately means getting rid of my Windows laptop, which I still use. With official Windows support for Arm on hypervisors such as VMWare Player and Parallels I will be moving any need for Windows there. That means, my next Mac needs to have a lot of RAM. I also use Ubuntu Linux for some other stuff. Hopefully by the time I am ready 64 GBs won't be so ridiculously expensive. As long as the PC world stay at 8GB RAM for base tier modals, Apple will do the same ... sadly. ahh okay, well yeah its nice they have an "affordable" (pro?) at 1599, that's perfect for someone like me honestly. Wonder if the screen will be better than the air..The Pro and Max versions are not any cheaper, they just made an entry level 14 inch MacBook Pro with just the entry level M3.
