Apple removed all references to the watch being available 4.24.15

Now it just says "The Watch is Coming."

"Available 4.24.15" text removed from Apple.com

That date, which I felt like I saw everywhere, is now conspicuously missing after they updated the site with the new Guided Tours...

Wow! So they really DID back down on that questionable "4/24 Availability" claim!

Yet again I'm going to say what's been said dozens of times: This has been a very weird launch!

fyi the 4/24 is on the watch screen itself

You're right. That's interesting. So the 4/24 date has become more subtle now? Maybe because the Watch will 'technically' be available on the 24th, but not "really"? I don't know.

Oh god no, I hope that doesn't mean we getting preorders at the end of the 4/24-5/8 timeframe

"The Watch is coming" is not the text I'd like to see as a replacement of "4.24.15."

Just checked my order, still says 4/24-5/8, let's hope that doesn't change as well!

Only the US site so far, the international ones still say available the 24th. They'll probably change soon.

I don't think that's what it means (at least I hope!).

As stated above, the 24th is still there, just more subtly on the Watch. I think the reason for this change is that "Available 4/24" was misleading, as there would be no in-store stock, thus it's not really available.

Perhaps since pre-orders are pushing June now they decided to make it more subtle to those visiting the site to place an order

Yeah, I think they're just trying to manage expectations. If you preordered and have 4/24-5/8 in your email, you're probably good.

My best attempt at being positive and trying to make sense of it is this:

No store sales.
Huge wait on pre orders.

They probably have too many people asking about store availability and now they know that no one else is getting it on 24th that hasn't already ordered.

This. Basically what I said on the other thread. The "Available 4/24" was misleading so they changed it. What a weird launch.
