I leave on a trip the 26th soooo id rather have a slightly buggy watch and have it updated in the first couple of days than wait to get back to my watch
Yes I certainly agree given your circumstances.
I was thinking more along the lines of how buggy and crash prone my iPhone 6 Plus was / is, and how long it's been now after several months of frustration. That's contrary to what Apple used to be known for.
But "it just works" has become a thing of the past, which I must accept. Apple is now the Chevy of the mass market. Big like General Motors.
Spread thin between many products and being a high volume product for the masses, times have changed.
So who won the pool on what the watch 'gate' would be?

Very interesting.......all of this time to ramp up production and give us a date of 4/24/15, and this is what we get?

could we be stretching it a bit much ??? I mean its coming , about a week away now. and those who pre-ordered had an estimated date. I'm not even about to start worrying about it. I was in the 1st batch 4/24-5/8.
I revisit my order status mid-week next week. Also when my card is charged in full for it then i know its coming.
They dont want to look bad trust me no Company does . They will try to get the orders out on time. Same thing happen with iphone 6 plus. I never got status saying it shipped and got it on release day . too early to worry i think

It is frustrating for those that were 10 minutes late and got the june delivery estimate.... At least we had the option of going to a physical Apple store to try and get one on launch day. Now thats pretty much not an option.
Funny thing though, its not such a bad deal. Like the retina MacBooks that came out and are having issues with overheating, throttling, and beach balls. The watches are pretty hyped right now and they might not turn out to be as good as people anticipated sort of like the retina MacBooks.

I'm not sure if demo loop was enabled but I was able to tinker with it and open, explore the various apps & settings on it.
Hmm that's interesting. If you tried on multiple watches, were they all like that?
They couldn't - they boxed themselves in with last fall's "early next year" announcement. So they were stuck needing a date, even without stock to support it...
Nothing in what you posted says the watch will be available in stores on the 24th. You assumed something.
