Check to see if you have precise location for Apple Watch faces enabled in the privacy settings on your phone and then turn off and turn on the watch.
It’s currently set to “While Using” and precise location is on. I turned it off, then on, but on the phone (watch mirrors phone). I reset the watch, but it’s still going to the other location.

When I just fixed mine I did uninstall and reinstall darksky - maybe try that?

On iPhone dark sky. Just tap on big cartoon weather icon at top above map box. Pop up appear show extra info and moon phase is there (bottom right in pop up). You can also tap temperature numbers at any time will bring up same popup details too.
Thanks - I completely forgot about the extra info screen!

I meant turn off the power on the watch and then turn back on

Everyone talks about the API, but I will miss the app and website most. Best designed weather app for hourly forecasts

I like Carrot the best. I have one watch face that has temperature, current conditions, forecast, wind, rain chance, humidity and dew point complications all on the same face.

It looks like the newest version of weather in iOS 15 might be pulling in a lot of these features. But yeah it's sure odd they are still charging for the app as it is being deprecated.
As a guess,if they remove it, then if someone wants it, they’ll be unhappy and complain, while if they make it free, a new crop of people will download it, and when it goes away, some of them will be unhappy and complain. By leaving it at the same price, it is unlikely to get a huge influx of new users, yet somebody decides they simply must have it, it’s available. Seems like leaving it as-is on the App Store is the simplest option.

Lovely. I love this weather App.
While iOS 15's built-in Weather app is not exactly at the feature parity with Dark Sky, most notably, the absence of custom notification rules, it is darn close. While Dark Sky's precipitation notification was hugely useful, it is a lousy weather in many respect. The weather data is among the least accurate among major weather sources. The UI require a lot of scrolling and clicking to get useful information. And the UI can be best summarized as minimal looking at its best, outdated iOS 7 byproduct at its worst.

iOS 15's Weather app is a great compromise of packing a ton of useful weather information, sourced from among the most accurate weather data providers, and looks quite beautiful.

I am more into CARROT Weather, but iOS 15 is the best weather app for most people.

What weather data sources does CARROT use?

By default, CARROT's forecasts are powered by Foreca, one of the world’s most accurate weather services.
Premium Club members can also use Dark Sky, AccuWeather, ClimaCell, MeteoGroup, or AerisWeather as alternate data sources. Region-specific sources are available as well: Environment Canada in Canada and WillyWeather in Australia.
Subscribers can also hook into data pulled from personal weather stations right in their backyard. WeatherFlow/Tempest and Netatmo stations are directly supported, while any station that connects to PWSweather can be displayed in CARROT as well.

Apple Dark Sky purchase motive likely just to harm Android & other apps using the Dark Sky API.

Harm? I'd venture a guess it's just to secure the source for themselves so nobody else can buy it, and also to fold the infrastructure into theirs. They like things where the rug can't be pulled out from under them, and/or they're not dependent on the whims of other companies - see, for example, a long list of chip/CPU manufacturers. (And I say this as some who has spent a whole bunch of time writing code that uses the Dark Sky API, substantial bits of which I'm going to have to rewrite now.)

Dark Sky is by far the best weather app I've ever used and it's great to finally see Apple finally bringing Dark Sky features to the stock weather app in iOS 15. Perhaps there won't be a need to install the Dark Sky app when iOS 15 is released if the stock app is that good.

I'm sure the motive was to bring the best third party weather apps IP in-house in order to greatly improve the stock weather app.

Looks like that's finally coming to fruition in iOS 15.

On the iPad version too, you can tap on the Forecast temp at the top of the screen.

As it's been discussed here, it's in Apple's best interest to hold back their goodies for macOS till 13.0, reason you see Dark Sky thru 2022. Holding Weather for M purchasers.

And STILL no iOS 14-compatible widget. Wtf Apple.
Because you'll have everything ins iOS 15. Apple is a company, and like every company in the world it has to choose which features are important, and which one can be delayed. The weather app could be delayed without any bad PR. Security, Maps and other subjects were the priorities.

Where I live, Dark Sky is utterly worthless. It displays the least accurate weather info of any weather service

it must depend on where you live. I am based in Bristol, UK. We get a lot of rain, as well as a lot of weather changes in one day. It can literally go from Very warm to heavy rain very quickly. Dark Sky is the most accurate App by far. Literally we can have washing drying outside in the sun, I get a rain notification on the watch by the time we get the washing in it starts raining almost every time.

I always wanted to get this app, but why spend any $$$ for something going away in 18 months
That's the way I think but I watch people pay a similar price for a cappuccino that's consumed in minutes and disappears from the body totally in hours.

On the one hand I've been curious to try the app for a few years, but it's barely available anywhere. On the other hand, quite a few weather apps include the Dark Sky API in Europe and the first thing I do is switch to another provider because it's so hopelessly inaccurate. So basically I'd love the Dark Sky UI as long as you could use anything but the Dark Sky API.

Same! I use the website to check the weather when I'm on my Mac.

It was worth it when I bought it years ago. One time charge. As opposed to sub plans on competitors.

Agreed! A one time charge of $4 for something I'll use frequently? The smoothie I bought yesterday cost more than that.
