Awesome! Though it would be nice to have a piano roll for programming drums for example.

Have you ever used NanoStudio? It's surprising how good a music app can be on a tiny screen.

Adjustable Velocity Controls FTW!

So many times I had to redo a certain instrument over and over because it never seemed to register at the same velocity.

Yeah that's what I want. I bought FL Studio and it has a piano roll but I like the sounds of GB better. You're right it would make programming drums easier

+1

Add a piano roll for edits.
Add a real mixing board.
Add the ability to punch in/out--we don't ALL use built in instruments.

Then it'd be awesome.

I think it's already awesome (especially considering the absurd pricing) but these enhancements would make it perfect! Especially the ability to edit small mistakes would be wonderful.

Don't let that stop you.
Justin Beebler and Lady Gaggag don't have any talent, either.
Come up with a gimmick and you're gold.

Not sure about Bieber but Gaga has music talent. Her gimmick sells and I don't care for it but she does play the piano and songwrite

Didn't it previously only play on the iPad 2 because of processor speed?

Nope. You're thinking of iMovie which is only iPad 2. Garageband was always both iPads.

I suspect that the one thing I wish they would do isn't there. And that's exporting from Garageband to your actual iTunes library. Rather than just to the iTunes file syncing. I tried to score a short I was editing on my iPad in iMovie with some tracks from Garageband on the iPad and it annoyed me that I had to sync the song to a computer to put it in iTunes to put it back to use it in iMovie (which can't read from the syncing area)

Indeed, look at her solo performance of Pokerface on the BBC.

She learnt from one of the top schools in US. Most of her tracks has elements of classical music. egs. Bad Romance intro - Bach prelude, Born this Way live version - Toccata in D minor

on Topic: no signs of Garageband for iPhone in UK Store

I was just pointing out to the poster that she does have talent. Her antics are another topic.

Sometimes being a great musician isn't enough, sometimes you got to have a gimic to get noticed. Gaga to me isn't tops in looks and the music industry being the way it is she needed something to separate her from the others. There are a lot of talented people out there that never got a chance.

Now Apple give us a Piano roll in :D

This is seriously awesome news. Is there a way to create drum beats with that on screen keyboard like in the full version? That's what I'd really like to do, but on the iMac you can only click on one key at a time, with a mouse :p Much easier on an iPhone. But really only useful if you can import to your desktop... Hm..

It did not show up on the App store on my 4S. I got it to work but not from my iPhone 4S. I deleted it under iPad apps in iTunes on my MBP then re-downloaded it. Then dragged it to my iPhone 4S. It's not showing up seamlessly like it should.
