Check Software Update for Numbers 1.0.2, Pages 3.0.2 and Keynote 4.0.2.
Does anyone use these programs? They came with my Mac but I haven't really had a use for them.

Are you sure they came with your Mac? I'm pretty sure you have to pay for it.
Compatibility. How about better performance as well?
Office 2008 is still slow.

Yeah, "addresses compatibility" is correct grammatically speaking.Well, they say it "adresses" compatibility, not "enables". So it may have to do with Leopard, or, more specifically, with 10.5.2. If it is the latter, it makes sense they release these updates before 10.5.2.
I prefer iWork over Office. Only downside is that Numbers isn't really mature yet (can't do a lot of stats).

You can also order them pre-installed on any Mac I think. But that would mean the Mac he has is second hand.they probably received iWork 08 (30-day Trial) with the Mac OS DVD's bundled with new Mac's.
Isn't this typical of any application, that if you move it from its original install location, updates won't work? Or is that not what happened here?
Ughhhh
Note to Apple:
I decide what applications I put in my dock, not you.
The only program from iWork I use is is Papers
It didn't change my dock. What app? All of them?Ughhhh

I hope it improves application launch times, that's the only thing that turns me off about the current iWork suite.![]()

I can confirm that launch time for Pages is almost instantaneous now!
