What exactly is the point of a system wide dark mode again? Less glaring to use at night?
Still doesn't make sense that they would go dark when iOS 7/8/9 were white if they weren't testing dark mode/dark UI.You can see some minor influences, like that being among the lightest UI's Apple ever put in an iOS 6-style app, but yeah, looking to the WWDC app for any hint toward the future of iOS design isn't a good idea.
Because the conference branding is a dark theme?Still doesn't make sense that they would go dark when iOS 7/8/9 were white if they weren't testing dark mode/dark UI.
I hate the joke but I can't help but love it. Good work.Like safari?
I remember this from a few years ago:

iOS 7 turned out to look not that much like the updated app. So maybe there will be a dark mode, but it will look slightly different. But I would definitely love to see a dark mode!
I like it. Clearly they are attempting to highlight the clarity and simplicity of Swift code. Im not a programmer but from I understand Swift really is designed to be easily written by basically just writing in plain english what you want the program to do. Or otherwise in pseudo code as you described it.The pseudo code makes me cringe....
Swift is definitely better than most (imo), but it's really not *super* different syntax-wise from other object oriented languages. Python on the other hand, while not object oriented, was built to be concise and natural. I agree with you though on them highlighting Swift; they hint at big changes in Swift 3.0 in the event descriptions.I like it. According to a tweet from Rene Ritchue I don't think we can expect much hardware at WWDC. I can only imagine what this place will be like if it's a software only event.
How would he know? They have announced lots of hardware at WWDC events before.
If Apple plans to rename it to Mac OS, I'm sure they intend to keep it a surprise...
But honestly, renaming to Mac OS or MacOS seems like a regression to me.

This is useless after WWDC...we gotta wait another year to use again.
From previous years? I guess it would be useful if we want to go back in time.Actually, no. All the videos from the Keynote/Platform State of the Union to session videos from previous years (all the way back to 2012) are accessible from within the app.
Especially with the (eventual) coming of an OLED screen, it wouldn't surprise me if they did, either this year or next. A dark theme would save on battery consumption since pixels don't turn on to produce black.
Me too. One of their variables starts with a capital letter, and why does learnAbout take 4 parameters instead of just an array? The pseudo code makes me cringe....
Yeah. I have easily-triggered migraines and have to sit at the computer for 9 hours a day, so I make everything dark if I can. What exactly is the point of a system wide dark mode again? Less glaring to use at night?
Omg, that EXACT same comment is like 80% of your posting history; on ever single article.
Does it even feel bland, lame, unoriginal, pointless, boring, or annoying to you??!
(because it does to me)
