Pretty sure there was an issue with T-Mobile phones only, some glitch in the system as mentioned earlier. No other carrier had this happen. I literally ordered the FIRST minute at 12:01pst and when I clicked to buy, it said 'delivers Nov 3' but then when I got the confirmation email it said nov10-nov17. I was not happy at the time and thought there may be some underlying problem. I don't think there is just magically more stock like some are suggesting, or less demand.

I had this issue where it said Delivers Nov 3 and then switched to Nov 10 to 17, but I'm not a T-Mobile user. This was VZW. I did order very early though, confirmation email arrived at 12:02.

With all these changes to shipment.... All I'm wishing is I have a Next option instead of Pay in Full for my Reservation. Ca'mon Apple!

I think you are right. I got my T-mobile order in very early, only to be told Nov 10-17. Now it’s Nov 3rd.
oh yeah, could be true. my two apple orders were for tmobile sims...originall quoted 1-2 weeks, now delivering on 11/03. phones are unlocked so shouldn't matter, but i guess they're already prepackaged with the sims...

So with orders that were stated for Nov 10-17th are now Nov 3....so does that mean orders with Nov 17-24 get bump up to Nov 10-17?

I have a feeling this is T-Mobile related issue only. I only saw T-Mobile orders shipping times 1-2 weeks. No other carried slipped to 1-2 weeks, they all went straight to 2-3 weeks. Seemed weird to me. Maybe there were some T-mobile logistics that needed to be figured out before they could promise a delivery of Nov 3. Did anyone with T-mobile initially get a Nov 3 delivery when pre-ordered at 12:01am?
i order tmobile 611@12:01am got 2 iphone x del. nov 3rd

I got updated to 11/3! T-mobile 2 phones... was originally 11/0 - 11/17

I have friends who messed up and tried ordering today and aren't getting their phones until Dec 11- Jan 11. So yeah, maybe if you got in on time your date will be pushed back but don't count on it.

So for all the people who complained about the individuals that did not buy into the extreme shortages , how is it going ?

Is there any proof that the iPhone X has greater supply shortages vrs previous iPhones ? I'm not seeing it , even with the constant doom and gloom stories

iPhone 7 didn't have 5-6 week shipping windows within hours.

I am so disappointed with Apple. I was not able to get in at 3:01 am. The app kept the typical "app store down message" and I kept trying to get in. I got in at 3:07 am and I placed my order and it was immediately set 11/17-11/24. My neighbor one door over got in at 3:02 am and has an 11/3 delivery date. He was on wifi like me and was able to get in. I am so disappointed with Apple. Literally 7 minutes equaled a 3 week delivery.
The difference between this first-day-on-sale and every other iPhone pre-sale, is with the two tier system this year (premium model and main line model), is that the group most hyper about getting the new shiny right away have all been focused on the premium model that's in especially short supply (because they can't make them as fast). So we have the most dedicated must-have-it-first-er's going after a smaller total supply. I'm not at all surprised that many people had more trouble than in previous years, getting to the very front of the line.

Why disappointed with Apple, though? If you try to get tickets for that hot concert with that band everyone likes, and the tickets sell out before you get one, or you get tickets for the back row, do you blame the band? Or is your frustration directed towards everyone else who was also trying to get tickets?

iPhone 7 was the standard phone when they had only one model - now they have standard and premium, and it's been all over the news for months that they simply can't produce the premium phone as fast as the 7 or 8.

Happens all the time. Someone else in the checkout process didn't complete it, opening up some additional stock. We see it every single pre-orde.
That and they probably allowed an amount for the carrier orders and then readjusted once those numbers came in.

Sign up for a FedEx or UPS account, and then change the delivery options. I left out details, because details are a pain.
Thanks for the reply. I've looked into a hold, but they will only do so for 5 business days. Hopefully redelivery will be longer than 5 days?

Congrats to those of you with the updated delivery times! We all work super-hard to get the iPhones as quickly as possible and to afford them in the first place. Whether you view people's disappointment and frustration as sad or not, you're on a forum that's dedicated to rumours about technology, so you can leave your negative opinions towards others at the login screen before entering... we all get the buzz and excitement of a launch day and the more of us who can enjoy it the better... even if it is a first world problem.

I agree 100%. Let people just enjoy whatever they want to enjoy. None of us really take this or ourselves too seriously, but we enjoy having fun with it. Nothing wrong with that.

Looks like this is happening for quite a few people. There's no email or anything -- you'll need to check the order itself on Apple's website to see if it's been updated. Looks like a lot of orders that were Nov 10. to Nov. 17 are now launch day delivery.

Any information as to if these "Movers" are existing Apple Upgrade Program Members? ;)
