there was no IUP when the iPhone 6 Plus was launched. you are signing up for IUP for the first time so you cant continue with this! Pre-Approval is only for existing IUP customers!

That's crappy! They should allow anyone interested to get the credit stuff out of the way before their servers become inundated with requests on 10/27. I already suspect the experience won't be an easy 3 minute click, click done at 3am... it will be an agonizing 2-hours+ timeout event where I'm all pissed that my application for IUP won't go through. Meanwhile existing IUP people are on the front of the line for deliveries. Guess I should have gotten the 7 to be an existing IUP customer. It wouldn't be as frustrating if I were on PST but no one wants to get up at 3am EST on a work day to maybe have a credit application go through. It's silly for Apple to not try to prequalify everyone a week or more in advance.

The I'd like to enroll button only takes you to the next page without the ability to continue

when i signed up with the launch of 6s Plus i had to go in the store to sign up for the loan. I just reserved the phone in the store on launch day and completed the process there!

Sounds like what I'd need to do if I want to try to get one closer to launch unless things change before 11/3

As already mentioned, things won't change as the pre-approval is for existing IUP members. You are not an existing member, thus you cannot get pre-approved.

I have a question regarding the IUP. I have 2 phones on the program (mine & husbands). I have gotten the pre-approval all done for both phones.

Once midnight hits (I’m on the west coast), I know I’ll use the Apple app for my pre-order but will my husband be able to do his on his device (using Apple app on his phone or iPad)?!

Yes on iPhone as long as you are using the appleid used for the preapproval. The iPad did not work for me with the 8 (I was too lazy to get my phone).

So he can be on his phone and I can be on mine and both pre-order at the same time?! He just signs into my Apple ID and will be able to do it?!

Chatted with apple about this- as long as you
Pre-approved each phone on the correct device you should be good. You can check this by going to the apple store app and clicking the banner at the top (should say ‘view preapproval’) and it should be unique on your and your husbands phone, as in it shows the proper device each phone is upgrading to.

So when I get on my phone (primary) it actually shows both pre-approvals. When I get on his...it only shows pre-approval for one (his). I am going to assume this is how it’s supposed to be?!!

How much time does it take during check out to actually complete the IUP process. Is it a long application of a few fields of information?

I also have 2 phones in the IUP, both on the same account. I got separate pre-approval for each phone. Now on each phone I see pre-approval for both phones.

What I plan to do when things go live is to start the order process from each phone, but if the first phone order does cover both, then I won't try the second phone pending confirmation of the order. My only concern is a double order would result in both being cancelled.

I talked with Apple the other day on this issue. Both phones (mine and my wife’s) I have are on iUp through my Apple ID. However, my wife’s phone uses her own Apple ID day to day and thus it’s set up that way in her Apple Store App.

Right now, you can see her phone under her Apple ID in her Apple Store App, but no reference to the approved Upgrade. Conversely, my phone with my Apple ID shows both phones approved and ready for Pre-order.

Apple says that I can check out both phones with my phone (Apple Store App) when it goes live. This seems plausible to me, as it clearly is listing both these devices in my app.

However, I’m kinda concerned as the guidance for others seems inconsistent.

Any others talking to Apple on this?

I'm in the IUP and when I went through the early process I had my loan denied. I guess I will have to preorder and by the X outright.

Just spoke with an Apple Rep to clarify once again. I have (2) pre-approved (existing) iUP iPhone X's tied to my one Apple ID Account.

She confirmed that yes, both orders will show up on my phone in the app for checkout. This is provided that both phones were a separate order/loan (which they were) and that they are both tied to my Apple ID.

That said, it would appear that I will only need my Phone to complete the purchase of both.

I did it last time and i'm doing it again this time, both IUP memberships are under my wife's name and credit, and both on different phones. You simply open up the app store on the phone you want to upgrade and then do it. It doesn't matter they are the same apple ID, they are different phone numbers and IMEI.

I did it already for my wife's 8 and i did it for both of us on the 7, don't listen to whatever garbage the CSRs are telling you.

You need to do the upgrade on each phone, just like I have to, there is no way to sign in under your other phone's phone number on your own phone, and even if you could, by the time you went through the entire process again and put in the other phone's cell account info, the X would be sold out, at least for launch.

If you pre-approved both and both show up in a single account as pre-approved, I suspect you can order both from the one phone. However, I don't consider anything a CSR says as the absolute truth, or even past experience given changes are always possible on the back end. I think the best thing to do is to start the order process from both phones as I mentioned above. That way, if the first one goes through for both, you're good to go. Otherwise, you have already started the process on the second phone.

I’m pre-approved as well. My question is, when I open the app at 3:01 AM EST tonight, what do I do next? Is the iPhone X model I selected during the pre-approval stage automatically placed into my cart/bag? If not, will I need to add it to bag manually?

Lastly, I forgot the login to my Citizens One loan account.. including security questions- will this be an issue for ordering tonight? All payments have been on time. I just forgot login.

Thanks!

So, to clarify, I assume you log into each phone’s Apple Store App with the same Apple ID? Right now, my wife is using her own Apple ID, which affects iTunes, Apple Store App, etc.

It’s only the loans that are both on my ID.

no you login use your OWN apple ID, since you applied for credit under your OWN ID and phone number. Just because you filled in someone else's credit info with citizen one doesn't mean you used their apple ID.

Second, once you open up the app after 301 am there will be ONE button that says submit order or something. Press that and THATS IT, you're done. I've done it thrice already.

Once you hit submit, does the payment screen pop up? Does it tell you your ship date when you hit submit?
