A workout? That’s uh….a terrible ideaSo excited to get this. Only two more days to wait. I actually think of much smaller battery pack would be a great accessory. Something that gets you through a workout or a brief time away from an outlet. Super comfortable to carry in pocket. That would allow you to take quick trips away from an outlet without the stock battery pack. I'm sure there's lots of accessories to come![]()
Brian watched a 3 hour movie on a single charge. Not hot-swappable? That’s just a very bizarre choice. Probably couldn’t even manage a whole movie. Can you use plugged in?
Yeah how are Apple going to get away with this with the EU? Really hope future Vision Pros use type c on the device itself. Is there any reason why it’s yet another stupid proprietary connector?
Why do you care how I or others cover our eyes on an airplane? This seems oddly obsessive. Does it bother you if I wear an eye mask and headphones?Said it before and I'll say it again... The first people to join the Mile-High VisionPro Club are gonna be some obnoxious mofos...
Doesn’t the type c standard support up to 200w these days?It has a higher than typical power requirement, but I find it difficult to believe this couldn’t have been handled with e-marker. Nintendo manages it with the Switch dock using all USB-C (Switch won’t work in docked mode using a 3rd party power supply).
The bigger concern over the proprietary headset connection is that the cable can’t be replaced independently of the battery.
Yes. What will you do when the battery gets pulled out.Yeah how are Apple going to get away with this with the EU? Really hope future Vision Pros use type c on the device itself. Is there any reason why it’s yet another stupid proprietary connector?
Sounds like someone’s getting buyers remorse already? Why do you care how I or others cover our eyes on an airplane? This seems oddly obsessive. Does it bother you if I wear an eye mask and headphones?
the way i see it this thing is gonna be plugged in most of the time i use it. The more i read the more i realize i can’t use it in the ways i use my quest such as workouts and game Which is unfortunate. No, I do not. My point was the cost to use ratio for me is not enough to make the purchase.
Don’t use it somewhere that’s likely to happen? Vision Pro ain’t designed to be used in all scenariosYes. What will you do when the battery gets pulled out.
No chanceThis question is coming from complete ignorance of batteries.....will we be able to trickle charge the Vision Pro battery with an iPhone 15 Pro?

Better than my meta quest pro which came in at 1500$ and only lasts around 40 minsUp to 2hrs battery for a $3500 product is terrible, in my opinion.
I still don’t see how they’re going to get away with it in the EU though. Maybe that’s another reason it hasn’t come out there yet, perhaps a type c model is comingSure, but this is Apple. I think my point is that they probably want to make sure that only their OEM battery pack is used. It could have been achieved over USB-C but they chose not to do so.
In any case it’s a bad design choice. If the cable gets damaged then the whole thing is basically landfill. Also you can’t use a longer cable.
Supernatural (for instance) is amazing and I use it 4 times a week. It will change your mind in a hurry.A workout? That’s uh….a terrible idea
Is the Vision Pro sweatproof? You’re gonna ruin that lovely headband trying to do workouts honestlySupernatural (for instance) is amazing and I use it 4 times a week. It will change your mind in a hurry.
B: The cable can't be disconnected, so if you damage the cable the whole thing needs replacing. Horrible design choice. The fixed cable also asks for more strain on the fixed end when packing it away, further reducing its life expectancy.

½ sec for a once time application?Ok so if I hook up this to my 19.2ah 52v e-bike battery how long can I expect the Vision Pro to last?
