There is not, cut the bs. People can repeat the same bs, and it’s still bs. AVP is the only device that Apple has released recently that brought the “magic” back to its products. Everything else is the same ‘ol same ‘ol.

Just for the movie experience ALONE, it’s worth it. Having to recreate the environment AVP does for movies, you’d have to spend probably close to $1M, and it STILL wouldn’t be the same. Instead, people will pretend their garbage little “home theater” comes even close to it. After having a friend demo it, his question was, “why would you even go to a theater if you had these.” My answer, “exactly, I don’t.”

That is just the movie experience. It is LEAGUES better than the AR/VR completion.
Abracadabra, it just disappeared.

Perfect wording, because I tend to watch movies with family, friends, etc. With the AVP you only get to watch a movie ALONE
And spending 4,000 dollars just to watch movies is ludicrous

Sound like your family and friends need to pony up $4K or stick with a crappy movie experience. I’m buying another one for my wife to join me in the theater. 😀 And looking to have my friend buy one too so he can join our theater from his house. Or we can join his. 😀

And that’s JUST the movie experience.

And listen, I’m not trying to sell this to anyone. I’m not getting paid for AVP sales. People can sit around complaining all they want and pretending it sucks to make themselves feel better. The facts are, the VAST majority of people that own the AVP, absolutely love it.

What a mess … Those are in overall not small increase and I wonder how the competition will react to that and the consumers … I would have clapped if they protected the consumers and we would have rewarded with better sales now I am personally not going to buy anytime soon

I know, right!? Being able to freely drink and eat and see each other’s reactions and not dealing with wearing a scuba mask when taking a bathroom break is absolute torture! I don’t know how anyone copes with such conditions. Oh! THE HUMANITY!!!

Not really, again, I'd rather sit with people and not have that goofy thing on my head trying to talk to them or have a shared experience. In all honesty, I'm not sure how well a shared experience can be had when there's two people wearing that headset.

I'm not saying it sucks, what I'm saying its a high priced product that really doesn't solve anything. There are better products for less money. Working on a spreadsheet - a laptop/desktop, having a teams meeting, a laptop, watching a movie with the family a 54 inch 4k tv.

People are bending over backwards trying to justify this when there is no justification. Just look at Meta, spending billions, thinking it was the next greatest thing, having a meta-universe and meeting room where cartoon avatars can sit in talk, when a video conference works a lot better

lol "or alive". No, Vision Pro is dead bro.

The way people tiptoe through the tulips with these trillion-dollar megacorps is genuinely dystopian.
Eh, I think you've missed the point here. It's isn't a competition, it's not "Four legs good, two legs bad". It's that, in this case, the price increase makes no difference, as it will not affect either sales of the Vision Pro or will affect the amount of revenue the Vision Pro generates for Apple.

But you're welcome to stay on your hobbyhorse.

There is no bending over backwards. I have a high end 60” HD TV (back in the day), and was looking to upgrade to a new 4K setup. After adding up cost, I’m looking at about $30K for the setup, which includes a 77” OLED 4K TV. Instead I compared it to an AVP and it came out to be a MUCH better value, and provided a much better experience. Even at $30K I’m coming nowhere close to what the AVP can provide. No IMAX theater, no 3D option. And again, that’s JUST comparing it for the movie feature.

Now if you want to compare an AVP to some low end 55” 4K setup, I guess you’re coming out cheaper. Yay!

Looks like I just became more elite! The value of my AVP and Apple elitism just increased overnight.

AVP-phobic peons have decreased in worthiness.

AVP owners: +$200
non-AVP owners: -$200

Mmmm.

I'm not at all interested in either insulting Vision Pro fans or insulting Vision Pro haters. That's a bit boring.

But really, things are only worth the price that people are prepared to buy them at. As a potential seller of a pre-owned Vision Pro, I don't think the potential sale price of your Vision Pro has increased because of this price hike.

Lotta hate for the AVP. It's existence needs no justification based on 500,000 thousand units or more being sold. It's all the hate I'd like to see justified. How does it's existence as a known and anticipated niche product (as Cook stated) hurt Apple (it doesn't) or hurt haters (it shouldn't)? How does anyone buying it hurt haters? That too shouldn't. Yet they're triggered.

Someone wants or needs to be surround by others to have a good time. Fine. I don't need that but it's fine from time to time, especially if it's a movie or show I don't really care about. Why? Because an audience usually spoils my viewing experience.

One positive of COVID was the lack of people in a theater screwing up my viewing experience. I've seen a movie in a theater and on IMAX several times and it was great. But later seeing it with an audience was terrible. Watching a movie with family and friends is great for visiting with family and friends. For watching a movie, not so much for me. I get to have my preferences.

But because someone else enjoys the APV experience, which can't actually be equaled even by IMAX, this is a problem for haters. Why is that.

It's obvious the AVP being a product doesn't beleaguer Apple though they be "beleaguered". It's not a loss leader product. So it's numbers are nowhere near anything else they sell. So what. The hate isn't based on financial fact. It's just easy to make lame, crap jokes that have no basis in fact.

I don't own one and maybe never will. But if a product sells, and at a profit, why should that be a problem? But it seems to be. Except for Apple and AVP owners.

There's no reason for me to disparage those who choose to have a high-end 400W audio system with an 85" OLED display, and some Barcaloungers. It works for them and they can share with others if that's their preference. But by and large it's not mine.

Someone doesn't want to wear "goofy" headgear, ok for them. It's a subjective opinion and personal choice. But they don't really get to make it for anyone but them. Well, unless they're a hater.
