I'd really like to try it. For me, the ability to have video and images of my parents and other people in my family that I can go back to in some sort of semi-immersive way would be incredible powerful.

Wow not a single article or tv report about this here in Germany as far as I could see. Where is the buzz? Even the iPhone is still getting acknowledged each fall.
Buzz happens for products that people really want. It’s that simple.

do you really believe that?

Buzz happens for things where people want to take advantage from - e.g. politics, sports and (anti) social media

we live n post marketing nations where most things we consume are driven by marketing

BTW - when did you see last time a
Bugatti commercial on TV ?

Then you must not believe in human agency.

That being said, a certain buzz can be created for sure, but see how that dies down once the marketing department has fired their shots. I heard of the Apple headset for exactly 10 day after it was launched and nothing anymore after that.

Has Apple already sold one? 🤣

I hear about it daily …

… and even you take the time to talk about it regularly even though you dislike it :p

I *did* see more than one being returned after a week back then and that was in fact the last I heard of it in an organic way.
Isn’t it remarkable how many comment on it in case it would be irrelevant?

I‘ve see products with far less positive and negative reactions - in fact no interest would yield in no comment at all. Commenting it is keeping people interested.

I still use mine almost daily and love it - it’s like my high end speakers or my oven - not used every day but essential to me even though I don’t cook and listen to music every day.

Nobody would deny that an oven is not useful in case you have sometimes dinner in a restaurant or listening to a concert life instead of at home.

( unfortunately I have too few time in my life to do everything all the time )
