Fields are finally harvested.

Still not running yet (inflamed MCL) but went to my sisters (costal Georgia) and only had a treadmill (or run outside which I want but...). So I did 5 miles on the treadmill (MCL not too bad) and then went for a cool down walk to the dock and around the house.

Julien, haven’t seen you in here forever, I thought you maybe retired from old age from running...:D /S.

I have to say, I do all my cardio outside, I find it to be so much more refreshing with colder air and having openness away from treadmills/ ellipticals. Scenery alone is distracting enough to run longer distances.

Not quite and I'll retire when they pry the weights from my cold dead (and hopefully really old) hands.:D Sucks but stuck doing indoor machines for cardio. Hope to start back running (outside) by mid Jan.

‘Country Inn Road’.

Nothing feels better when running intervals of a set of (8) 30 second ‘dead sprints’ with snow hitting you in the face. :D (At least there is no traffic.)

This photo was almost ‘white out’ conditions with a snowstorm that was moving in. I literally was just finishing my cardio when it was sleeting, then it completely transitioned over to a heavy snowfall. Then went to the Gym and trained chest. Then shoveled for an hour. Good work out day. (Fun times driving in it too.)

Total about 6 inches/ 31°./ Visibility was approximately one mile.

Snowstorm ‘Leon’ finally disembarking. 8 inches, 3°.

Oh, and no cardio, just shoveling, more shoveling, and additional shoveling on top of more shoveling. But I did manage to Make it to the gym and train triceps.

First outdoor run since October. Took it a little easy (on my MCL) and stopped often. Still felt great to get outside and the weather was fantastic.

Fun Fact: In my state, we set records having Windchills at -50° (It was actually colder here, than it was in Antartica at the time of the Polar vortex) , and now for the weekend, Saturday and Sunday are both supposed to reach 50° temperatures, almost 100° temperature swing. It’s kind of amazing how your body adjusts to temperatures that cold and now it feels like spring.
