Apple Watch bands have been refreshed on a seasonal basis for the past few years, and it looks like that trend will continue in spring 2019, as many of the current fall 2018 bands are now out of stock on Apple's online store.

Fall 2018 bands now listed as sold out:40mm and 44mm Sport Bands in Hibiscus, Mellow Yellow, and Pacific Green, plus 40mm in Blue Horizon
40mm and 44mm Nike Sport Bands in Olive Flak/Black and Smokey Mauve/Particle Beige
40mm Sport Loops in Cape Cod Blue and Nectarine
40mm Nike Sport Loop in Smokey Mauve
44mm Leather Loops in Forest Green
40mm Modern Buckles in Cape Cod Blue, Forest Green, and Peony Pink
40mm Hermès Double Tours in Indigo/Craie/Orange and Bordeaux/Rose Extrême/Rose AzaléeApple could unveil its spring 2019 bands in a press release on March 21, the first day of spring, as it did last year. Apple is also expected to host a March 25 event, but little to no hardware is expected. Either way, we're likely a few weeks away from new bands if another refresh is planned.

Apple likes to brighten up its Apple Watch bands in the spring, although not quite as much as its vibrant summer bands. Spring 2018 colors included Lemonade, Red Raspberry, Denim Blue, Soft Pink, Spring Yellow, and others. Most bands range between $49 and $149 in price, with Hermès bands costing up to $539.

All bands released to date have been compatible with every Apple Watch generation.

why would anyone buy a watch band from apple? Third parties make way cooler bands that work just as well and are a fraction of the cost

It’s good the Mac Pro isn’t 6 years overdue or this kind of news would make me mad...

Now that I have bought my first Watch I start to see the meaning of bands.

Because they like the company visual language, cooler is subjective.

You can always get these bands for a third of the cost on Amazon. Good quality, too.

The 3rd party ones are good, but Apple's are on another level for quality. Whether Apple's are worth ten times the cost is subjective.

Except perhaps for the sport loop, third-party bands (knockoff bands, at least) don't seem to measure up. For example, Apple's sports bands are made from fluoroelastomer while every knockoff I've seen is made from silicone, a material inferior for this purpose. The same is true for Apple's leather offerings, which are very high quality compared to the knockoffs I've seen. And of course, there is nothing like a genuine Hermes band.

Apple offers 3 billion band options but I think 99% of Watch users are wearing black watches with black Sport bands.

These watch straps are the sole reason why Apple Watch is worth 2x more than a comparable FitBit. :)

Surprise announcement this year in September when Cook reveals that iPhone revenue has been exceeded by watch band sales. In an unprecedented move he reveals the real numbers that verify this and the stock spikes $100 in ten minutes.

I own a dozen bands, all Apple bands.

Third party watch bands are made like crap and look cheap. But to some people they’re good enough.

I am shocked - shocked - that this is not an animated gif, ideally one that looks static for a while and then starts changing subtly. You're slippin', man.

:( I even made the effort to export an entirely static image as an animated GIF with no motion.
