Sound like you completed the measures to clear most of the issues with a re-pair and setting up as new. I would focus on uninstalling an third party applications, which could be an issue. And I'm assuming you're currently up to date on OS updates if you haven't already.

On a side note, Series 2 seems to be experiencing the most issues with the latest update.
Yes I am up to date. I'm working from home tomorrow so I'll have plenty of time to fiddle around and see how it works out. I've removed everything from the nike but the apple apps and two or three things I have to have. Once I verify that is ok i will add other nice to have in one at a time to see how it affects it.

What I would do first, is go to an Apple store and have them run a battery diagnostic on the Apple Watch or they can offer a diagnostic over the Phone via connected Bluetooth from iPhone if you don't have a store in your area. It's free and then they can direct you from there if there's something that needs to be repaired or replaced for a future Genius appointment.

I don't mean to derail the thread, but what kind of workout do you do on a daily basis? I also workout approximately an hour and a half to two hours a day, every day, just curious what you do for a routine?

I do about 60 - 75 mins of cardio every day. I have had this watch since the launch day for series 0. My routine has never changed since then. Nowadays by the time I get home, the watch battery is about 10%.

You might be in need of a battery replacement. Next step is to run a battery diagnostic as mentioned earlier . If you are in need of a Battery replacement, I believe Apple sends the Watch to a depot for repair, as they do not stock replacement Watches in store. Good luck.

ok so I have removed everything and slowly added things back in. I am basically running with almost no notifications and minimal apps installed. I am dropping on average 2.8% per hour. Not terrible, but not nearly as good as before the update. I have been using the Nike exclusively for this test. Tomorrow I am switching to the SS model to see if it repeats.

If it is repeatable I am prepared to assume it is just the update and will wait till the next update.

You're Taking the right measures. My guess is it's just the latest update affecting it. But overall, under 3% of a drop isn't that bad hourly.

I am experiencing the same thing. I updated the first day the update was pushed to my watch and it seemed fine. I turn off most notifications and the most activity is a 2 hour workout first thing in the morning. Previously, I could go the whole day till about 2-3am before it hits 10%. Now it is hitting 10% by 1pm. I re-paired the watch last night but doesn't seem to have fixed it. I'm going to do a "reset" this morning and see if that helps.

I'll jump onto the "Me too" bandwagon. With the latest update I am losing about 10-12.5% an hour where it used to be 2-4% an hour.

Me no likey.

That's a lot to be losing hourly. A lot of forum members are experiencing random drainage. This new upcoming Watch OS update hopefully resolves the issue.

Looking currently, just under 6 hours, I am sitting at 39%.

Before this update I was able to stretch the watch out to almost 2 days.

Hopefully it gets fixed in the next update.

I reset my watch, rebooted phone and set up as "new". In the past 1 1/2 hours i have only dropped 3%. Hopefully it sticks this way.

Series 0 here. Took mine off the charger at 630 this morning and currently sitting at 42%. This is with HR and Raise to Wake both on. Although, by the time I get to work at 8am, some days it will be at 100 still and some it's already dropped to 95, which I find very odd.

Setting up as new is a better option then restoring from backup. Restoring from backup can allegedly bring issues from the previous watch transferred over to the new watch. Usually that can help clarify some issues.

Rebooted my watch this morning before I put it on.

Seems to have worked. After 6 hours I am down to 79% so about a 5% per hour drain. Still a bit more than before the update, but much better than it has been.

Also try a hard reset, not much more effort than a reboot. It works wonders for many. Also hard reset your iPhone.

so I removed everything on my Nike after setting up as a new watch. Worked ok (3% loss per hour or so). I did the same thing on my series 2 SS and made the mistake of letting it install everything. Big mistake. I left the house at 8:00 yesterday and by noon it was down to 75%. I did another reset, did not install anything and added them in one by one. Used it today while out and about and it was draining 2% per hour. Not as bad as before but certainly not as good as before the update.

One other thing I noticed is when I have airmail installed on the watch it seems to drain a bit faster also. I removed it and it has looked a little better. I wasn't really using it so I don't mind. I can still get notifications and my work email is outlook based and is installed via the native IOS client.

I charged my watch to 100% and put it on about 24 hours ago. Right now I am at 51%. Battery life for me has been crazy good since 3.1.3. This is a Series 0 Hermes edition.

Just wanted to update you all. Watch is back to normal.
Got home, erased everything and set up as new. Today watch is now at 80% after 2 hour workout this morning. I was ready to dump this thing.
Hope you all get your watch back to "normal".

I agree. I would always set up as new and do not use restore from backup. I think restoring from backup carries over issues from the previous watch.

I believe that I have found the culprit on my excess usage. I removed the airmail app from the watch and now my drop is much closer to 1% per hour instead of 2 or sometimes 3%.. I have had my watch on (the nike 42mm) for 4+ hours today and with very light usage have 97%. I may send an email to the airmail developer and ask if they have heard of anyone with issue?

That's interesting. Perhaps that is an issue if the application isn't calibrated properly. Let us know how the developer responds.

I can't quite explain it, but without doing anything to the watch, no new updates, etc. In the past week, the battery life is now back to "all day". I typically put it on around 0700 and by 1800 I'm usually at about 65% and when I got to sleep 45%. I'm happy with this now but cannot explain the change at all. Very odd.
