Apple Watch deals for Xmas?

I've been thinking about pickup up the watch and with a recent surge in contract work to help justify a splurge I'm pretty close, so I'm thinking if I could score the double deal at Target it would be a no-brainer.

That said, what are the watches sporting software-wise out of the box? It matters to me as I don't want to lose my Jailbreak to use the watch. I'm on 8.4, and if the watches are on Watch OS 2 that would leave me with something pretty that I couldn't use yet until a Jailbreak comes out for 9.x. I'm guessing they're all on version 1, but it's also possible that newer shipments have gone out with 2 pre-installed.

So for anyone that cares to report, what was yours running out-of-the-box and when did you pick it up?

I unboxed two AWs recently and both of them came with OS 1 and needed updating to OS 2.
 
If you don't live in NY you can get the same deal best buy has right now at B&H Photo. I have ordered from them many times, great site and prices (and no tax for me 😉)

Thanks for the Target tips everyone. I will try this today and see if it works here in TX.
 
Looks like Target has caught on .... no luck getting both the discount and the gift card. Also wanted me to wait at guest services for price match, so I hopped in the car and went over to BB where a rep helped me promptly. I had an ATT gift card for 150, so with taxes and apple care my bill came to 226 for a AW Sport 42mm. Not bad huh?

I'm thisclose to just ordering the darn thing from B&H. Want it for a x-mas gift for hubby, although he's back and forth on getting one now or waiting. I do have a Visa $100 giftcard. Think I will just do it.

I did the B&H to avoid sales tax. Its free expedited shipping which ends up being 3 days for delivery
 
I bought a 38mm AWS from from an Apple store in November for a Christmas present from my wife to me (yes, I have an awesome wife).
After 2 weeks of trying to get Discover to price match the current BestBuy and B&H deals, I just decided to order a new one from B&H and return to Apple Store one (still un-opened and I bought it in the Holiday return period). I figure losing the ApplePay 10% isn't too bad when I can also get the sales tax back by buying at B&H.
The watch is supposed to arrive at my in-laws on Monday the 21st.

Well of course. WOS 2 doesn't work with anything below 9.1, I believe. So if you're still on 8.4, then yeah, an AW out of the box with WOS 2 won't work.
