Is a gift for my brother coming back from a war zone the 25th (he is in the army) after one year and I want to give him as gift , I've also called Apple to help me to receive in time for him but nothing changed! Apple not serious company

My 42mm SS with black strap and order confirmed at 08:03 now has delivery between 30/4 and 13/5! This information taken from an Apple rep online. My online status still shows24/4-5/8.

My has definitely be confirmed as slipped and now scheduled for delivery 4/30-5/13 despite my online status showing 4/24-5/8.
I think I've established a zen-like state of calm. The money has been taken out of my account, my order is saying preparing but as much as I'd love to receive my watch on Friday I'm just going to wait and see what tomorrow brings, if it's not despatched tomorrow then it's not coming for Friday. It does suck just a little bit that the delivery window isn't a little more definitive, I'm sure the best adverts for these watches will be the early adopters wearing them or and about, the quicker they're on wrists the quicker the orders will roll in.
How is possible that is shipped with delivery 4/30-5/13 ? They delivery by horses? Two weeks for a delivery? #
My SS watch clearly isn't in the first shipment of deliveries. I would suspect it hasn't yet left the factory in China given the long wait time of up to 3 weeks passed day of release. It possibly hasn't even been built and is queued up somewhere in the build line. My 5K iMac, to give you an idea arrived at my address in the UK in 4 days from dispatch in China.
Usually Mac is shipped from China but for what I know the watch not, is dispatched from a central warehouse in UK. Also from the day of pre-order they had 2 weeks to prepare it.If not for what purpose we have the pre-order??

Well after talking to Apple late afternoon today (ok, via their website chat thingy) and being told my 42 SS black band watch delivery has gone back to 4/30-5/13 (even though I've got a confirmed email of 08:03 on preorder day telling me different) I've since had an email from Apple confirming my watch will be delivered between 4/24 and 5/8! Left hand, right hand. Hello?
I guess I just need to kick back and wait for it to arrive when it arrives as seemingly Apple don't know when it's coming.#

I've talked with many apple rep by chatting, also with a manager, and nobody can tell me something for sure. It really seems that also them don't know when it will arrive.

Have you tracked your delivery? My courier is UKMail, but when tracking on the Apple website it says estimated delivery is 8th May! I suspect that will change; just been on UKMail website and tracked it, and it was 'booked in' at 9:53 today and is awaiting collection, I suspect when it's picked up today it will update to a delivery date of tomorrow

Which watch did you order? Are you still 'Processing'? Did you get the 'email of death'?
Apple says 8/5 but when I tracked with UKMail it says awaiting collection, estimated delivery 24/4.
