I'm still amazed people buy bands from apple. Ya can buy wayyyy nicer third party bands at a fraction of the cost...
I see there are currently 8 Nike bands for sale, including this new one. Just curious if you can share an example or two that have been discontinued?
I hope the colors don't wear off. I'm a biker, and have purchased some of the RoadID special bands, but the colors always rub off, making them just a basic band. I've stopped supporting them because of the poor quality, plus I have enough bands to last 10 years.
Nike Version looks cool - def buying.
Apple today announced it has released two new Pride-themed Sport Bands for the Apple Watch, including a Sport Band and Nike Sport Band in 40mm and 44mm sizes. Both of the bands are available starting today on Apple.com and at select Apple Store locations.

The bands can be paired with new matching Pride watch faces coming in watchOS 6.2.5, which remains in beta testing.
Through this effort, Apple and Nike said they are proud to support LGBTQ advocacy organizations worldwide, including GLSEN, PFLAG, The Trevor Project, Gender Spectrum, The National Center for Transgender Equality, and ILGA World, which brings together more than 1,500 member organizations in more than 150 countries and regions.
Last year's Pride band was a nylon Sport Loop.

hopefully the sports band doesn’t fall apart in the hot summer heat.
Yeah but these are individual strips pressed together, never been done before. This just doesn’t happen with Apple bands. I have some that are years old that have not changed color one bit.

Definitely might grab that one. It has a nice little pop of color.Nike one is really is really nice!
Which begs the question, do they cut up bands for the strips and if so what happens to the rest of each band? 🧐It‘s not printed (as the cheap ones on Amazon/Ebay are). Per Apple’s description, it's assembled by hand from individual strips of fluoroelastomer and then compression molded together. Hence each one has unique “imperfections“.
I think its intentional - like a painted pattern.
Might also be easier to produce than a straight lines.
They sold the 2019 Pride band until this morning. I expect it’ll be the same story for the 2020 bands — on sale until next year.Definitely doesn’t include these soon to be discontinued 2020 Pride Editions.
These are incredible. I just got two of each. Savvy sellers know these bands will demand a fortune as these look like they’ll sell out incredibly soon. I believe it’s the first time they’ve had pride edition fluoroelastomer also. Now two in one year? They’re going to sell out quickly... I can feel it. My Apple sense is tingling.
I’m a straight man and I wear the 2018 pride band with the white ceramic watch. It looks freaking awesome and rainbows are cool.
I would be super curious to see how that is manufactured. Anyone have an idea? That Nike band is really clever.
I just ordered the Nike one. By far the best pride band yet, although I did like the white one with the narrow stripes a couple of years ago.
The non-Nike one this year looks like the quality is rather poor with the wavy color lines. I wouldn't mind seeing some photos of the real band when anyone who orders it receives it.
I doubt they break precedent. It would be nice to have the Nike/Hermes/Edition faces all on one SKU though. Will the nike face be limited to Nike model watches? I picked up the Nike one as I thought it was very cool and subtle. I really liked the imperfections in the bold rainbow one but it wasn't for me.
