Yes!

Hopefully we see a full UK site update soon to confirm in store reservations.

I was then going to post saying if it was just for the US only as on the UK store there is nothing about reservations. Would be very bizarre if you could only reserve in the US.

Am I missing something here? Can I just "pre-order" it on the 10th and just have it arrive at my front door? Or do I have to pick it up in store with a reservation time?

Does someone know if it's possible that i preorder the apple watch in an UK, Germany or French Apple store as an in store pick-up from Belgium?

I highly doubt it, different taxation and pricing would be an issue. If you're in one of the other countries, you could still have an in store viewing appointment, then order for pick-up in a Belgian store through the Apple Belgium website. Or am I missing something?

We still don't have an apple store in Belgium :-((. Taxation in france and Belgium are the same. But i live just 50km from an apple store in France. So i thoight maybe i can reserve it online in the french apple store and pick it up there

Bad idea.

The line is going to be so long that'll end up standing for an hour at the Apple Store.

I hope you can book a time slot for pick-up. Though thinking about it, that hasn't actually been stated.

I understand that they'll spend some time with you to help set-up the device. If this is the case it'll be a right mess if it's busy. Maybe the lack of information about pick-up time slots is because they know stock will be so limited that queues won't be an issue

When I was onto chat with Apple online, I pointed the Selfridges page in the UK out to them and the specialist went away to check and said reservation and in-store pickup on 24th will be available in all stores.

Won't belive it until I see for myself on 10th.

Yes you can pre-order it on the 10th and have it delivered, but the question is whether or not it will be possible to reserve it in all of the stores in d1 countries.

I did a similar thing with the iPhone 6. I reserved it from Poland and then went to Berlin store to purchase it. So I think it shouldn't be a problem.

I am from Portugal. I will travel to Liverpool on April 22. On April 10 i will try to make a reservation to pickup one applewatch on the Liverpool Apple Store. But when I try to simulate one pickup for one iPhone or a MacBook, when I put the address code of Liverpool Apple Store the list that appear to pickup is completely different, I think so:

What i do wrong? The Apple Store Liverpool don't show in that list ;(

How will it work in Australia? Midnight PT time is 5pm on April 10. I know online pre-orders begin at 5pm but I have been told stores will open at 8am for try ons. So does that mean the reservations will open up the day before?

Basically it's like the reservation pass thing that they did with the iPhone, so unpaid reservation. But you book it from home. You can book in store if you get lucky and what you want is available. However not only are you booking a product, you are booking a pick up time. Basically they do not want lines hanging around the store. There is no standing and waiting to just run in and grab a watch. The hope is that this will also slow down the resellers.

Sounds good. I'm guessing that they will start at a "normal" opening time like 9:00am.

That said, the time slots will fill up quickly. If people really want it on Day 1, shipping home is the best bet. The sale process will take longer than an iPhone transaction. If they have 10 employees handling sales and allocate 5-15 minutes for a try-on (averaging 10 minutes) that's about 60 an hour. That's why they don't want 1000 people outside Fifth Avenue or even 100 outside a smaller mall shop. I'm guessing that around 12:15am PDT on the 10th we will have a lot of posts complaining about how the first in-person pickup slot available is in May.

I hope you can book a time slot for pick-up. Though thinking about it, that hasn't actually been stated.

From the message above it sounds like you will get a time slot.

Probably. The local Apple website sounds like the best bet. You just won't be able to book a reservation to actually buy the watch until 5:01pm.

The distinction between a try-on appointment and a reservation is going to confuse people. Hopefully Apple's site will make it abundantly clear that a try-on appointment isn't a reservation.

Does anyone know... If I chose to pick up the watch at a store... Would I be charged my credit card on that evening that I make the reservation, or when I pick it up at the store?

It sounds to me like you just reserve it and then pay when you pick it up. That's helpful for me because it'll allow me more time to save

Then what a sad life you must have if a cheap electronic watch will finally make it complete!

"i'm over the moon"

"jumped the shark"

"full of beans and rice"

you must take these phrases literally from now on as well.

I've just had another chat with Apple Online, and i was told the best thing to do is check back on the 10th at 8:01 as more info will be revealed (see below screen shot of conversation)
