Nowadays it's such fun to be a Finnish Mac user. First the price hikes to existing gear and now the continued unavailability of the Watch. They did, however, introduce the Apple Store app here and there it says 2015 for the watch, so I guess my bet goes to December 30.

Italy (Rome, Milan) & Spain (Madrid): Ranking world fashion capitals
Singapore: Gadget hungry and wealthy population
S. Korea: Home of Samsung
Switzerland: World watch capital

Not really sure of the importance of Mexico or Taiwan to the AW marketing drive to make it part of the 2nd wave launch.

Taiwan: Home of HTC, Asus, Acer I suppose. Similar to your logic for Singapore, it's a gadget hungry and wealthy population too, as well as one of the important economic drivers in Asia. And also home to the companies that actually hold the contracts for a lot of the Apple products and its components (despite setting theirs factories in China).

From the couple of store visits I've made over the past few weeks, there were only 1 or 2 people at the Watch table. I am guessing that this is because looking and not being able to go home with a Watch is having a real effect on sales.

I'm one of those people that thinks the Watch launch was anything but smooth and they must have rushed to launch before production was truly ready. In my opinion, they would have been better making everyone wait an extra 60 days and simply executed a launch at retail. This thinking that they need employees spending huge amounts of time with customers looking at buying a Watch was just silly. In reality, it's not much different from choosing an iPhone, iPad, MacBook, iMac, etc.

Apple will only start to see how the Watch is going to sell once they're in-store.

Huge effect on sales since folks can't actually buy the product. If you are going to order online anyway, then why go to the store? But also this product is one that many people currently don't believe they want. However, they will eventually change their mind. They just have to see the watch in action and here how it works from their friends. The price though is still pretty darn high for this level of functionality. But Apple is playing a long game here. Gen 2 will be a much better device and it will sell for the same dollar prices. By Gen 3 this device will be very very compelling. Apple wants to make sure were are used to spending top dollar for it though.

June 26th and my country is not even on the list? Seriously? That just about killed any interest I had left in the Apple watch. I was hyped at release, but now... I'm pretty meh. Ah, well... no worries. Maybe it's better that way. More money for me to spend on my next gaming rig

Thrilled that more people will be able to get their hands on this amazing watch soon. I was skeptical, but I can honestly say I've worn the Apple Watch everyday since I got mine. It really is an essential purchase for anyone invested in the Apple ecosystem.

Yea well I refuse to walk around in Oslo speaking english to my watch.
Siri understands Swedish and Danish. The difference between Norwegian and Swedish / Danish is not very big. Did you try already?

I am happy to report that as of last night we are now both happily wearing our watches. My guess is that they were clearing the back orders as fast as possible to avoid the riots at WWDC next week.:D

I ordered mine on April 25th with an estimated despatch date at order of "June"...

3 weeks ago this was updated to "22nd to 29th June" and then 2 weeks ago to "17 to 22nd June".

Then this morning I got a dispatch notification email completely out of the blue and with a bit of luck it should be here tomorrow :D

Apple today announced that the Apple Watch will be available for purchase in Italy, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland and Taiwan on Friday, June 26. The wrist-worn device will be sold through the Apple Store, Apple Online Store and select authorized resellers.

Apple also announced that it will begin selling select Apple Watch models through the Apple Store in two weeks, presumably including the United States and other first wave launch countries. Apple Watch orders have been taken exclusively online since the device launched in April.A limited selection of Apple Watch models will be available at 10 Corso Como in Milan, BOONTHESHOP Cheongdam in Seoul and Malmaison by The Hour Glass in Singapore on June 26, just over two months after the device launched in the United States, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong and United Kingdom. A total of 16 countries will now sell the Apple Watch.

Well, let's see if my watch delivers before retail, my range is 15-18 June, ordered April 30, might as well just have waited.

Indeed.

I think that Tim Cook was determined to stick to April 24th so that he could keep his 'early 2015' promise. He should have swallowed his pride and delayed the launch.

"With the sole exception of Apple Watch 42 mm Space Black Stainless Steel with Space Black Link Bracelet"

I guess I'll have to wait til July :(

Well, I live in Switzerland and have had mine for a month now. I'm still trying to find reasons to give it wrist-preference over my collection of automatic watches. Today, I wanted to wear it so I could use Wunderlist for shopping - unfortunately, the app wouldn't load (I waited 25 minutes :) so I put it back on the charger. Unfortunately, this is something that has been repeating itself over and over again over the last month.

The Apple Watch is the first Apple product that disappoints me - they shouldn't have released this version at all, sorry. I also own a Moto 360 - it's ugly as sin, doesn't do as much as the Apple Watch, but at least it actually DOES whatever it does. If only it worked with my iPhone 6 Plus, so I could finally sell my Nexus 6.

So I guess the supposed branding/legal issues that were rumored to prevent sales in Switzerland until December were resolved.

So, none of the Scandinavian Countries this time around. Thats unusual. I guess Apple is shifting the priorities of the markets. ....disappointed :(

The 25% VAT will make it too expensive for most people so sales will probably be quite low.
The once who really want one can almost fly to the US for the price of the VAT :)

We are too few people I guess. But it's strange since they added Swedish and Danish language support in the latest update and we are usually included in the second wave.

I'm even more happy now that I already bought one from Germany.
