No good news at all :(

Does anyone have an existing workaround instead of turning iPhone off/on all the time?

2020-2021 has been by FAR the least polished Apple OSes have ever been, in my experience. I do wonder if Covid has affected developer operations, but at this point I’d think not since most things can be done remotely and should be set up now.

+100.
I remember articles on sites such as macrumors about ios 13 being a quality disaster and apple reviewing its development procedures.
Imo ios 13 was allright.
The real disaster is ios 14. We are already halfway to ios 15 beta and I’m still missing the calls :)

My notifications are jacked and half the time I try to swipe home, I get thrown into recent apps instead. After 3 years of using iPhone X - 11 Pro with no issue. My photo attachments constantly fall off when I press send as well.

What is not working well are the connection to my Airpods Pro. Almost impossible to answer a call in them.

I received a call last evening and it didn't ring on the watch. iOS 14.4 and watchOS 7.3.

Doesn't sound like it's fixed, but haven't tried re-pairing the watch just yet.

For me, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. Initially it was not working 100% of the time. Now it’s sporadic.

wtf.. my last message isn't displayed there, probably pending moderation..
Here is the text:
I followed advice of Kap75 and re-paired carplay (i.e. delete your car from bluetooth settings of your phone and delete your phone from settings of your car; then link them again).
The same didn't produce a fix on 14.1 or 14.2, but with 14.4 ... it works just fine after several days and multiple carplay use. Try this too.

I'm tried that with 14.4 but no luck. Sometimes works and sometimes not :(

It’s so frustrating. When I turn my car off (not fully off yet), I pull out my iPhone, unlock it, open control centre, press the wifi icon. It asks to disconnect CarPlay. I say yes. Then I fully turn off my car (for some it requires opening the door). Notifications for calls works fine for Apple Watch then.

Annoying, but at least it’s a temp fix without having to restart the phone and the watch.

I wonder if this is fixed in 14.5...
Unfortunately not! Just installed iOS14.5 and WatchOS 7.4 Beta 1 and the same bug still existing.
If you disconnect CarPlay manually before turn off the car, call notifications works in Watch, but is very annoying to do that everytime your tung off the car.

Maybe its icloud and not firmware related...
Because mac is affected as well, so aparently it is not limited to bluetooth connection between iphone and watch.
And I had pretty much other issues w icloud during past months (for example, safary icloud tabs-huge thread on this forum. Now it is fixed for me, but not for all-there are people still complaining).

Just became aware of this thread, noticed a few times my watch hasn't rung and there were missed calls on my phone, but don't get that many calls so forgot about it. I'm working from home at the moment, so getting more calls and not using car so will see how thing are.
