No, they'd never be that manipulative, right? Big business is totally honest, of course.

links, or its all in your head. apples products are the most desired CE items on earth...which means they sell out. deal with it.

Does anyone know more about this? So you think they might say you can order during your appt and then they guarantee they will be available on the 24th? Tough to believe though...

Based on the FAQ, ordering is only online. You can only try on the watch in the store.

This isn't a simple misjudging demand issue. It's a manufacturing problem issue like the white iPhone 4. Barely anyone has a chance to hit the "buy" button before it slipped from launch day to 4-6 weeks later. No way Apple's system could physically handle as many orders as you are suggesting to sellout in 2 minutes. There is an easy way to estimate demand - it's called a Focus Group. Business use them every day.

sounds like you've got it all figured out. and with something Jobs shunned -- focus groups. looking forward to your turn running Apple, surely it's coming.

Yeah, because, creating anything "artificial" would be crazy

Super low demand, on a product that's iffy at best, and every news show/publication runs with it across the globe.

Creating artificial demand has been Apple's M.O. since inception. These latest "i" days have been the worst but it's always been there.

It's a cult. Everyone here knows that.

For all the naysayers AND media critics...

This product AND all its ACCESSORIES smell of HUGE profits.

For the those educated enough to know THE ACCESSORIES MARKET know what I'm talking about.

The APPLE WATCH and all that goes with it with be a CASH COW for Apple.

Not to mention their strategy to launch it Today - the same day as the roll out of SameSongs new Galaxy.

Gee, I wonder what product the media will be talking about today at length?

Any guesses?

And knowing how much of a demand their products create, they consistently fail to produce enough products to meet Day 1 demand. This happens every single time, and yet you still believe this isn't deliberate.

yeah because the truth is more simpler -- they sell out BECAUSE PEOPLE KEEP BUYING THEM, every single time. it's simple: there are more people just like you who want these products, more than they can produce. short of running on magic, there's no way to give everybody everything they want immediately.

that's life, man. it's not a conspiracy. as I said -- Apple doesn't need to create artificial demand, they already have real demand. accept it and move on.

They're going to funnel them into the same site we were just on, I bet. Apple being Apple.

I mean, he's not wrong.

Could be interesting for those who didn't order tonight, when they go into the stores this weekend and find out they can't get a watch until June or later or have to go home and order one...hmmm? I know Angela is trying to change it so people don't wait in lines anymore around the stores but I kind of wish they did that for this on the 24th. I guess it will be awhile until you can just walk into a store and buy one off the shelf.

Does Apple pay employees/people to troll forums like Samsung does?

so because I state simple fact (Apple is the busiest, most in demand CE company in the history of man), it means I work for them? lay off the tinfoil!!!

I'm an enterprise windows developer...with over 2,000 post history here. reflect.

I will say this. Once the ship date on the Apple watch is delayed out, it's time to stop saying "Available April 24th". We all know it's not actually available that date anymore.

Never suggested I could. But this lack of black colored models at launch is not good. Not sure why you are so emotional about it unless you are TC. 1) Jobs is dead, no longer at Apple. 2) only suggesting there are tools to predict demand. But if you want to drag Jobs Into it he never launched a product with 20 different models. In fact he shut down the Apple Performa because it did have so many SKUs.

I can't imagine the shipping times once appointments open. Sept?
