Apple Watch Order Statuses Shifting to 'Preparing for Shipment'

It looks as if things are moving today. CC charged about 30 minutes ago and order shifted to ready to ship. Email confirmation 03:04:38 EST. Original ship date was 13-27 May.

Still no news on the 42mm SS Classic Buckle

I am sad to say that with every day that passes and the more and more I see of people posting about getting theirs I am slipping more and more into a carefree attitude about getting mine. Some of the sparkle is starting to fade
There seems to be a lot of people waiting for this specific model (including me)

UK postal services are virtually non-existent on a Sunday! Even amazon can't always confirm delivery for Monday if the order is placed on a Sunday.

This wouldn't stop Apple in charging our CC's in preparation for delivery, it's more of a case that the UK has no stock!

Not seen much movement on UK orders since Friday, in the US on the other hand I have seen a LOT of orders moving forward......

I suspect it will be May before we see anything substantial.

Probably!

Hopefully not! Going on holiday in 1 week..would like it before then.

I'm a Newbie to Macrumors and been following this thread since the beginning. It does feel a bit like a self help group!

In germany it's the same as in UK,no movement...nothing. I had the chance to get the watch friday but i get a credit card limit problem. Apple sent me an email and say i must solve the problem, the product are ready to ship but they can't charge the card. Next day i solve the problem and raised the limit but now apple dont charge anything.

I don't get that logic...they say my product, that theoretical assigned to me, is ready to ship so why they don't charge the card and ship it ?...

The support hotline say that i must wait...wait...wait...don't allowed me to change the payment method to paypal or anything...

I get the raised limit only for one week and hope they charge the money before they lower the limit...

I went on chat to speak to someone about my order , I did it even get as far as giving them my order number , they just put some random rubbish and seemed a little bit rude # I'm moving house on the 5th of may so only wanted to know if I may see my watch by then.

Someone posted something a while back about the support lines for Apple being more like counselors than actual customer service. They're phenomenal at empathizing with you and caring about your situation, but they have no answers.

You won't get anything from Apple they are not interested, they all sing the same song " We don't know anything " Which to me is utter tosh! (BS for our American friends)

Happy to see you getting yours however I myself who ordered the same thing and have an earlier estimated ship date range am still waiting.

I know a lot of people have said that Apple are still within their 2 week window but they should have just been a bit more precise from the beginning.

They are absolutely within their two-week window. However, this is the first product launch that I can recall that hasn't given a specific date, rather a date range. They definitely should not have said that the watch will be available on the 24th. That obviously is not the case. When you order within 15 minutes of the kickoff time, you would assume that you'd have your watch on "opening day."

It was messed up from the beginning. I'm no expert, but I have to believe it would be easier to sell the watches and bands separately. That way, you order the watch body, and pick up your band in store. To me, that seems to make the most sense. It has to be easier logistically.

I know the feeling, they really are experts at using a lot of words without providing you absolutely any new information.

Apple need to revamp their customer service from top to bottom after this pathetic "launch". At no level have they performed well- their senior management are silent and those at the lowest rung are clueless and of no help, for us as customers where are we meant to get our information from?

Spend this kind of money with any other company and see if they treat you like this. When I call up Sky and speak to some pleasant guys and girls in India they can't help you enough and are willing to do whatever it takes to keep your business. With Apple it's like you are doing them a favour by buying from them.

I was shocked when I seen my card get charged and the preparing to ship. I truly believed it I would get it during my original ship dates. You will get yours soon.

Looks like they are moving now. My 42mm ss bsb moved to prepair for shipment today. Sweet. 12:03pst confirmation

Congrats! I still won't get my hopes up. I wish I could set a specific notification for an email from apple that plays the Star Wars theme as soon as the shipping email arrives. Or turn off notification sounds for every other email.

Exactly! If you order within minutes you should expect the product on launch day!

I honestly believe this wouldn't have happened under Steve Jobs. Apple's share price may be going up and up but they are losing their personal touch and customer service is deteriorating. It all seem like the wheels are turning automatically behind a big machine....basically becoming like every other major multinational company out there.

No. You should EXPECT to get the product within the window that was provided by the company with the intent to TEMPER your expectations. It is completely ridiculous to be so invested in something you've never needed before that you can't wrap your entitled and privileged mind around waiting a few days for it.

Maybe some of you should take some of that energy, aggression, and time before getting your watch to see if you can help in any way with disaster relief or just help out some underprivileged people in the area you live. I think you could use some "humbling-down" to remind how unimportant this really is.

Btw I ordered in the first few minutes, have received nothing yet and amazingly I'm still alive.

Well said.

Look I see your point and its a valid argument and they did provide a 2 week window but unfortunately Apple are benchmarked against a higher standard than most and have a very loyal fan base. Which is why so many people are upset that they didn't receive their watch on launch day. Most people have previously been able to receive launch day products by ordering early.

But i think your comments serve no purpose. I think the importance of material things are relative to the person...the "why don't you go work for a charity" argument is just very weak. Why does any body work? Why do we buy anything? why doesn't anybody share all their wealth and live in a socialist society... Don't indulge because the third world needs food etc etc etc..

It just so happens that many people are quite excited by the new product and are disappointed that they have not received it. As I said you trying to act all high and mighty actually serves no purpose.

I actually work in health care and spend a lot of time at work...as you say "helping people". However I would prefer to spend my free time as I wish...if that means posting on this forum, along with countless other, then I will!
