Apple Watch Order Statuses Shifting to 'Preparing for Shipment'

In the UK - Order confirmation through at 08:10 for a Sports 42 SG. Ordered using app from hospital room as a new father, only to be let down by an out of date card. Rookie error.

Expected shipping day 13th May.

No update as yet.
 
Just got tracking info from UPS for Friday delivery by 11:59pm.

38mm Sport with blue band. Ordered thru Apple Store app on iPhone and used Apple Pay.

Apple page DOES NOT show shipped this is only on the MyUPS page. Here is a photo of the calendar view. Sorry on phone so I can't black anything out, it's zoomed in.

Placed order 8.12 (GMT) for 42mm SS watch with classic buckle and have had 24/4-8/5 delivery date, STILL not had payment taken and STILL saying "processing". I'm getting pretty worried I won't get my watch on the 24th now as many UK members here (some with the same watch) are saying they have had payment taken.

I used paypal and I'm starting to think this is what has messed up the situation. Spoke to an Apple advisor on the "chat now" option on Apple store today and they said the order has been "approved" but I still am skeptical.....


Just want positive news :(

Don't put too much trust in the card charge date. Some banks/card companies only show charges once they have been cleared and posted, which is normally about 2 working days after the card is actually charged. If your online banking doesn't have a section to view unposted or processing transactions, then you probably wouldn't see it even if it has been charged.

Hey guys. Any news for Australia? I pre-ordered in like the first 2 minutes of the site being available. Still haven't had change in my order.

Just wondering if any other Aussies have had theirs change?

Also, if you don't mind answering, what city state do you live in? Wonder if they are being sent to closes to distribution centers first.
 
nothing changed at germany
still in "processing" with a delivery date 24/4-8/5
SS white sport band ordered 9:03 (after i ordered the SS with blue loop band for my friend)

is there anyone at germany with a "preparing for shipping" or "shipped" status?

Apple told me that even with orders that are in "preparing for shipping" on thursday should get there watch on friday

Charged and preparing for shipping yesterday with everyone else.

UPS My Choice now has a delivery from Apple coming to me on Friday originating in Mt. Juliet, TN. I only ordered the watch, so that must be what it is. My Apple order still says "Preparing for Shipment" though.

My debit card was charged yesterday around 1:00 pm PDT. My status switched to Preparing for Shipment a few minutes later. It's a 42mm Milanese and my order confirmation was 12:02 pm PDT on the 10th. (If I knew how to attach a Photo of the UPS My Choice, I would. But I'm new. Sorry!)

Might sound like a nub but what is UPS my choice or MYUPS. something special that isn't the same as tracking?
 
Same for me as dupeak. My UPS shows mine will be delivered Friday. I'm in Tennessee. My Apple order however still shows preparing for shipment.

I don't really know enough to tell you the difference...but UPS My Choice tracks anything that is coming to my address.

It is UPS my choice, sorry, not MyUPS. It just auto-populates shipments that are going to your address for you. Its free to sign-up.

Ok I signed up for ups my choice. Nothing in calendar right now but will check regularly too. Thanks for your help guys. Although tbh I kinda hope it comes fedex and not ups. FedEx delivers at around 9 here and ups at 330 or 4. I would go mad waiting
 
Got my myUPS notification for Friday delivery. I'm in Central Florida and got my order confirmation at 3:03 am est. Ordered a Sport 38mm Silver Aluminum Case with White Sport Band.

I was also quoted the original window of 4/24 - 5/8.

I'm waiting for a friend to get one so I can see if it's something I would be interested in.
 
Update: Just got charged in last 30 mins

Ok, looks like one of the watches was charged for, I'm guessing the 42mm SS Classic black...

No update on the shipping yet however.

I just got charged to my CC and my order status changed to preparing for shipment. I ordered a Stainless 42mm w Black Classic Buckle at 3:09 EDT in Ohio on 4/10. I also had been quoted the first shipment window of 4/24-5/8. I have been waiting like many of you for the last 24 hrs since these first reports rolled in. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a Friday delivery!#
