The most common, Space Gray 42mm sport

To be delivered April 24-May 8th to Bay Area, CA

Have no fear, I am sure it will show up. We both know they don't ship until Thursday via Next Day Air, plenty of time to get it to you!

Placed order 8.12 (GMT) for 42mm SS watch with classic buckle and have had 24/4-8/5 delivery date, STILL not had payment taken and STILL saying "processing". I'm getting pretty worried I won't get my watch on the 24th now as many UK members here (some with the same watch) are saying they have had payment taken.

I used paypal and I'm starting to think this is what has messed up the situation. Spoke to an Apple advisor on the "chat now" option on Apple store today and they said the order has been "approved" but I still am skeptical.....

Just want positive news :(
Don't worry, I'm in th same boat. Milanese loop 42 SS, no bank charge as yet, although different banks and cards update at different times. I'm still hopeful for Friday delivery.

Thank you for the vote of confidence :p
I am not worried about the delivery, I am worried about the charge, normally the money would be taken by now (like most people here)

Oh my all my impatient waiting paid off ITS COMING!!!

Salem Oregon

This is probably correct. It would explain why my tracking information says label created on the 23rd. It says its Next Day Saver Air, which is typical for Apple launch shipments. Probably won't be picked up until Thursday, but then delivered Friday.

My tracking information, like duepeak's, also says "Label created on 4/23/2015" with delivery on 4/24/2015. So I'm not expecting Apple's order page to say it's shipped until probably Thursday.

Guys Guys Guys

What if...Apple only started shipping these yesterday and they're consistently moving them across the world. This means that those that have been confirmed thus far (seems like a majority of the first window at this point) are just the tip of the iceberg and the rest of the other dates will continue to see ship dates WELL BEFORE their assigned time, barring no major factory strikes, explosions or impromptu supplier holidays. There are just so many pieces factored into something like this, that when you have variables you haven't played with before (One of a kind-brand new components, Leather, Woven Metals, Multiple paint colors for bands / casings, etc.) this just means exponentially more ways that the supply chain can bottleneck. Therefore, Apple is playing this EXTREMELY close to the vest and with good reason. Better to have people freaking out over ship times in a forum that standing at a store door on the 24th and only having white banded sport watches when everyone wanted blue (for example). Plus, there's this nerd amnesia that will take place the second everyone opens their Apple Watch boxes.

As someone who works for a Global Multi-Billion dollar E-Commerce Company, they probably used stretched out shipping dates (May 13-27, June, etc.) due to the fact that their insurance along with UPS made them (due to the variables) due to the massive amount of logistics required to ship millions of these globally around the same exact date. For all you know a small village in Africa where the metal that mixes with the steel comes from could have a coup and boom, two weeks of interrupted supply (or less than you were anticipating). This is how nuanced this is and to be honest, Apple is BY FAR better than anyone else EVER in this regard.

In short, it's not like they're not working around the clock in China assembling these while putting them on planes as fast as possible to get them here. If Apple has to throw a half a billion at this problem, that is nothing to them and you'd be amazed how may shipping channels that can open up if the product is there. Keep calm, and every time you check your bank balance or order status make yourself do 10 pushups, I promise the anxiety will retreat.

This doesn't really make sense to me...

Plenty of reason to live, I am not holding my breath but I am not giving up either, I ordered 12:03AM if mine does NOT come by Monday to be "fair", this is the last thing I will buy from Apple, which is a shame because I love their products but this would truly be unfair.

No one was given a guaranteed delivery date at all, simply a two-week shipping *range*. If they ship it within the time committed, how have you been harmed or wronged exactly?

Hell, one of the ones I ordered doesn't even *ship* until next month and it was ordered at the same time. My band? 2-4 weeks.

Anything *after* that is a problem. Anything before is a gift :)

Good news is, I still haven't seen anyone with a 4/24-5/8 estimated delivery date with a 42mm SS with a Black Sports band get charged yet. So I'm still crossing my fingers that I get the charge at least by tonight. Sometimes I wish I would have just picked the white sports band.

Just to throw this into the mix .... I made 2 orders (from UK) :-

1 x 42 SS Black Classic buckle order made at 12:07am
1 x 38 SS Black Classic buckle order made at 1.16pm (13+hrs later) (after my wife decided she wanted one)

Both showed delivery 24/4-8/5 (4/24-5/8)

The 38 late order has been charged to my Amex today and is now showing prepared for shipping (or whatever the wording is)

The 42 has not change and has not been charged (yet)

I guess it shows that they are being processed by type or even randomly but certainly not by order time !

Man. Seeing post after post of "preparing to ship" confirmations from people who ordered AFTER me while mine is still processing is getting really old.

I fail to see why its 'unfair' ? ..... you have been given a 2 week window for delivery ..... nothing says that Apple have to process the orders minute by minute ..... there are 1001 reasons why that may not happen ! (all IMHO of course) :)

No actual harm is being done, and I may be seeing it completely wrong but this is how I see it.

What "pisses" me off is that I was an early purchase, by early I do mean 12:02AM, and my item is being processed, then I read of people in my area or not far from me, who ordered the same thing at 12:15, 12:20 and 12:25 and they have a tracking number.

To me this is like I am standing outside best buy in the front of the line only for some employee to come along and tell people behind me to go first.

Again I may be seeing it wrong but that is how I see it, and again not quitting just yet, there is still the chance of me getting it on the 24th but it is somewhat aggravating knowing some are already confirmed for the 24th and they ordered it after me. No offense intended to anyone.

So my thinking here is Fedex

isn't updating anything until Apple says "OK". I haven't seen anyone with any early indicators from Fedex?

To be fair, I agree with you in the most part, I can understand shipping errors, carrier errors and that, but I believe Apple messed up pretty big on this launch. They are a company worth $780 billion(the richest company there is in fact). It really was inexusable that they have people waiting until June. More than likely a marketing technique, but for what? Why make people wait til June if they have already pre ordered. I would bet anything (even my apple watch that should be here next week if not Friday) that they have a massive stock pile of watches they are sitting on. There is no shortage. So to that, I believe it is not "fair". However I got my order early, been charged and prep for shipment since yesterday so I will probably get mine Friday, still feel bad for those that have to wait and def understand mounting frustration

They have a tracking number, not a product ;)

It looks like this is UPS' system "leaking" data. We, since I believe you're in the Bay area, are probably in a Fedex Zone for this product.

If Apple hasn't *charged* you that's another whole thing tho. You could be like me, charged but no receipt :)

But it's all good. it just means I have more time to not have to worry about debugging our Watch App, heheheh.

Someone posted a conversation they had with an Apple employee that said that everyone with a 24/4-8/5 window is in the EXACT same boat, it doesn't matter if you ordered 1 min after opening of pre-orders or 10 hours, if you have 24/48/5 you get treated the same.

That is very true, but let's face it, "stalking" the tracking number until you see the magic word "Delivered" is always part of the exciting journey.

Here UPS delivers for Apple without fail, may be 10:30PM but still without fail when they guarantee on a date. But unlike you no charge to my credit card yet for the watch, the extra charger changed to preparing for shipment and was charged for but not the watch.

42mm Apple Watch Sport Space Gray
3:03am EST confirmation
1st Wave (04/24 - 05/08 Delivery)
No charge, no change.

Pretty bummed but I wasn't expecting a charge until tomorrow, so not in freak out mode yet.

Im getting really really sad now. No changes, no charges, no hope that it will come Friday. At first I held out hope because I'm a 42mm Space Grey black band and seemed like I was part of a large group, but others with my same model are getting Tracking info now!

It's all over... I doubt I'll see it this week!

Why did this happen? How is it that Im not getting to rejoice with you guys? My confirmation email was at 3:04 but I was done paying by 3:02. I am in Atlanta, just hours form Tennessee hub. I paid with a business debit card so I wouldn't deal with the bank rejecting a high price purchase. I did it all right. i did it all right. Why... why? Why can't I be excited with others? This is the story of my life. (queue the One Direction)

Hey guys. Any news for Australia? I pre-ordered in like the first 2 minutes of the site being available. Still haven't had change in my order.

Just wondering if any other Aussies have had theirs change?

Nothing here mate. Ordered 3 minutes in, still quoting 24/4, but no credit card charge or change in status. Sports, Space Grey, 42.
