Apple Watch Order Statuses Shifting to 'Preparing for Shipment'

When people are saying they are using a reference number on UPS and their phone number are they using the order number that you got or a different number?

Hi guys. I reported yesterday that my watch was getting ready for shipment.
For some strange reason, my account has gone back to reporting that the items are processing.
I still have the pending charge on my card so that may be why. Has this happened to anyone else.

I ordered 42mm SS with blue leather loop band on 4/10 at 12:12 PDT. It shows delivery as 5/13-5/27. No CC charged and no change in status, so far.
My son ordered a 42mm SS with brown leather loop band and a 38mm sport with blue band on the afternoon of 4/10. They both show June delivery. No changes on the SS watch, but his credit card was charged today for the 38mm sport. 38mm sport seems to be in low demand.
We're both in Utah.

Anyone with pink have any movement? I spoke with Apple and she said I was one of the first with a pink. So that would mean to me that I would be getting it.... nothing!!
She also said it wasn't going by the style but when they were ordered as they were "made for us." Yeah, that isn't the case because if it was my dad's watch that I ordered after my pink would not have already been charged and preparing for shipment. I have seen nothing on the pinks. I should have picked a white!

Sadly, I agree with you. I've loved apple. I've been a major purchaser of the higher end equipment for a long time. But they bungled this debut and there are a lot of unfair issues that will make me be less enthusiastic about apple and for certain will never do this kind of pre order again.
There is NO way apple should be shipping to those in the second wave until the first wave is satisfied. And it shouldn't have anything to do with availability. Perception is a very important concept that I thought apple understood. But I think that was a bad assumption.
I certainly will no longer promote apple amongst my friends and acquaintances as I have done in the past.

I'm in Cholsey near Wallingford so quite close, different vans though I reckon. If it's TNT or UPS then mine will come from Didcot.
Sad fact: I got the first iPad on launch day and the night before I was up at 1am and saw it had a tracking number so I rang the depot up, got them to hold the package there and went to pick it up in the morning as I work really close to it.
Working from home on Friday though so will be in!

Have you checked if they've taken the money? I've ordered the same as you and mine is coming Friday (well prepared for dispatch). Might be worth checking if they've charged you.
Don't forget we're a small country so yours could be on the last flight in and you could get it on Friday.

Here's hoping they are moving some more up. But the "order in which they were received" is questionable since there have been some SG/black orders in June that moved up to April while people in the May 13 delivery window are still there.

Keep checking every few hours on paypal and on my mobile banking app- nothing as far as I can see, no pending payments or anything of the sort. According to the Apple representative on "chat now" the payment has been "approved" whatever the heck that means (because they haven't touched the money).

I find PayPal a bit strange. When I've paid for things before with it, it's been 4/5 days before the money is debited from my account. I would say if it's been approved then don't lose hope yet.

All this uncertainty is causing QUITE a bit of hysteria in the secondary markets.
I just sold a 38MM Sport Blue arriving 4/24-5/8 for 550$ on ebay, yesterday these were selling for 450$ tops. And over the weekend I picked one up for 420$ shipped (same first batch)
Seems people are now thinking whatever is coming FIRST (and 38mm and possibly blue do SEEM to be) is where they are placing demand.

There are 5 UPS flights scheduled to depart Anchorage to Louisville tonight. Hopefully more people get the "Preparing to Ship" notification. I am waiting for my 48 mm SS with the Black Classic Buckle. I ordered mine as soon as the Store opened on my phone.
It just seems to me that if they are already in the air they would already have been marked as shipped. Technically, those are in the shipping process. No?
Does anyone know how much weight/watches these planes can carry? I've seen Apple Watch packages weigh between 2-3lbs. Would be curious to know how many watches these 4-5 planes may be carrying

Ordered on 4/10/14, email confirmation 12:04am (PST). Moment of panic since my bank rejected the charge. I received a text about the charge, authorized and card was charged. Called Apple to verify that everything is ok, rep said I should see the status change momentarily.
Just want to let your guy know that my card was just charged for my 42mm SS Milanese Loop.

Go to ups or fedex and track by reference number and use your email or phone number as the reference number and it should pull up.
