Apple Watch Order Statuses Shifting to 'Preparing for Shipment'

Ok kids, just got off with apple chat support (who have been crazy nice, btw - super cheerful, so that's something), and thought I'd share since any info is good info for those of us crazy enough to keep refreshing the boards.

I'm SG 42 sport btw. 12:04 am confirmation email - no charge no change in status. I live in LA. 4/24-5/8 delivery.

First she said that since standard shipping is 2 days, the window has already passed for today, but that of course it's still possible to get it Friday depending on variables, yadayadayada. So. That sucks.

Second she said that for my model (which I know hasn't shown much movement for most of us) they're going in the order received. I didn't ask for clarification for other models fyi.

I asked if there was ANY way to predict when it'll be shipped and yeah, pretty much no. :confused:

I am just hoping and praying I'll get that UPS My Choice notification tonight after midnight. Though I'll be refreshing the order status and checking my bank account dozens of times before then.
 
Has anyone else received an email from Apple reminding me that my watch will be delivered between 24th April and the 8th May?? And telling me to make sure my ios is up to date!!! Thanks Apple!!!! Never mind the crap that I already know, just change my status from processing items!!!

Same time as me at 3:05AM EDT he had a 4-6wks time. My brother also got his order charged about an hour ago but he ordered the 42MM SS with a black sport band. Meanwhile I'm just sitting here anxiously refreshing and checking the forums!

Well I am not sure if this is my apple watch or not. It says it weights 2.70 pounds or if that is my cables that I ordered the next day. Any idea what it could be.
 
just got charged for my 42mm Black Sport!
charged minutes ago. no change on shipment yet.

Just checked and my card was just charged. 42 mm SS Milanese. Los Angeles. 12:04 order confirmation. Maybe coming Friday??
 
If you want to see if your package is ready to be shipped and figure out if you have a tracking number.
Go to UPS.com or Fedex.com
Tracking,
Track by reference number
type in your email you used for the order, or type in your phone number.
And it should work.

Says I have a package weighing in at 2.70 pounds...
 
UK - Tracking with Syncreon

Hey

I remembered that some (all?) of my Apple things always come from Syncreon (but ultimately delivered by TNT/UPS).

They have a tracking site:

When I put my Order number (Wxxxxxxxxxxxx) in the field it asks me to put my web order number in again but then gives me nothing at the moment.

Hopefully this may come live soon and give us in the UK some more info.

i talked to an apple rep earlier today with some general questions. one thing she said was that they don't charge you until your watch is shipped. so if anyone has already been charged by apple but haven't gotten a change in their order status, i bet you get your watch on friday. you're probably getting it from fedex, which i dont think anyone has seen tracking numbers or alerts for yet.

This answers a few questions. I was thinking that they wouldn't ship them until they know that the charge will go through on your card first. Gives me a little hope!
 
This also satisfied two day shipping, because we still have Thursday to go through. So I should get my SS Milanese Friday.
 
Alright! I was just charged for my :05 42 m SS Milanese Loop! No change in the shipping status just yet. That's good news. Now I'm pretty confident for Friday delivery.
 
CC Charged!

In Michigan here: 42mm SS with Milanese, credit card was just charged but my other watch (separate order 42mm black aluminum with black strap has not been charged.
Still says status is processing but I am confident now that at least something is happening.
Ordered 3:04 email notification for Sports watch (not charged)
Ordered 3:05 email notification for SS (CC Charged, still processing)
