Unless something happens quick with these 5 UPS planes flying in right now, I guess I won't be getting my 42 SG. I'm ok with that since I'm fairly certain it will be here next week. The only thing that stinks about that is that I'm flying out on business on Sunday and won't be back until the following Friday. Oh well.

I will say that I don't believe that Apple is shipping out in the order the orders were received. There was someone earlier today that posted their shipping notification and they included their order #. The order number began with W59... The order numbers are sequential. I ordered the exact same watch and my order number begins with W58... Not even close and obvious that I ordered the same watch before that person. They're getting it tomorrow and there's no movement on mine. Again, it's the exact same watch (42 SG). I'm not really complaining about that, just curious how it's really being determined who gets the available watch over the next guy that ordered the same thing.

Weird. Mine starts W50. If they are truly sequential I should have gotten mine a long time ago.

My watch just shipped! Located in the suburbs of Chicago. I got the dreaded email too last night, and just got charged today, ordered it at 12:04 AM. There is hope after all!

Looks like it'll be here tomorrow!

Final note: to all the naysayers that folks are complaining and need to get a grip: this is the first major product from Apple since iPad. A lot of people enjoy Apple products and take the risk of having a 1st gen product. To compensate that risk, we should be able to enjoy a product we pre-ordered at launch. Everyday we don't have the product is one day closer to 2nd gen and that's not cool. My 2 cents.

You're a poet bro. EXACTLY RIGHT!

Interesting and very disappointing. Obviously we're excited for each and every person that gets their watch early but I agree with you. I'm curious to see if you get it tomorrow. If you do, then it's simply a matter of how it comes out the factory, gets prepped for shipment on a pallet etc. I would imagine pallets are filled to the gills with watches and during that process some move up and some move back. Keep us posted will you?

Mine is a W501 number as well....

Mine is a W44 so I should be way before both of you. Same watch...

I'm W44 so that theory is Shot dead. I've had ZERO action.

I just checked some of my older Apple orders and it looks like I may be wrong. Or the beginning numbers are product specific? Either way, it doesn't appear they are sequential.

I'm hoping I wake up tomorrow morning to find some late night AmEx alerts and a shipping email. Kind of doubt it at this point, but who knows. Next week I guess.

I don't disagree with you on something not making sense... I've seen at least a handful of people showing proof that their SG/Black watches in both sizes were shipping who had May and June dates, including one who had an identical order to mine that ordered on the 11th with a June window and now his order shows the April 24th window.

Stuff like that bothers me more than the whole debate over which ones were ordered within the first few minutes, since it's really hard to rationalize why someone with the exact same watches that ordered 24+ hours later and had a shipping window a month after yours suddenly is shipping, while you're still waiting to even be charged. Not to mention all the people with the Apr. 24th window that are in the same boat.

BUT... I don't agree that the order numbers are sequential, unless I can believe that there were 74,113,048 new orders placed in the minute between my two orders. Not to mention that in my case, the numbers are backwards -- my 42mm starts with W484, and my wife's 38mm ordered immediately afterwards starts with W410.

The first watch I ordered was at 3:04 EST and starts with W54. The second watch I ordered was at 3:40 EST and starts with W41. It doesn't appear they go in order.

I just subtracted my most recent order number from the first order number and there were 5.7 million numbers between them. That's not possible...unless they skipped numbers or something.

Very true so order numbers aren't sequential. You're a perfect example of "WTF is going on"? Any theories since you have proof of later orders being pushed ahead of your identical order?

I honestly think that Apple messed up with the order in which the watches were shipped out. I think they thought no one would notice; I mean, how would so many people find out that someone who ordered after them received their watch first? I doubt they banked on MacRumors having 2500 comments of people doing that exact thing. Without places like this, we'd have no clue.

could it be some orders got skipped by the system?

it happened to tmobile before, and people who preordered day one got their phone months later

Yep. I posted again saying that I was wrong about the order numbers being sequential. As you said though, they are not being shipped in the order the orders were placed. My guess is it must have something to do with the geographical location, but nobody knows for sure. Well, at least no one here knows for sure.

I'm honestly more worried about my wifes watch. I ordered her the 38 pink sports watch. She is sooooooo excited to get this watch it's crazy! I'd hate to get mine next week and her have to wait weeks to get hers. With the complete lack of anything happening with the pink Sports watches, there's a good chance that will happen. I'll get mine soon enough and I'd rather her get hers first if I could make that happen.
