It's very simple .. This is the greatest feck up in Apple history.

You're going to incur the wrath of the "Apple must never be criticised for anything even when they have clearly messed up" brigade for that one.

Seeing all these reviews, unboxing videos, news alerts etc all about the Apple watch on launch day is really making me sad. I wish I hadn't bothered with the pre-order now like I haven't with any previous Apple product I could deal with not having it but knowing I should have it and don't is far worse.

any news or updates for anyone today in the uk

hi has anyone in the uk today had and status changes or updates about deliveries perhaps for saturday or monday ?

My cars has been preauthorised since Tuesday

Don't know what to say to that, I'd have thought you'd have got your watch today (that's what those "Apple is always in the right" guys would have us believe). There is really no consistency coming out from Apple on this. Now I've heard from someone on here that has ordered the exact same watch as me (42mm SS Classic buckle) that their friend who ordered the same watch FIVE hours after pre-orders went live is getting his watch TODAY(despite having a June window) whilst he and I are still stuck in "processing" even though we ordered within MINUETS of pre-orders going live.

Same happen here I ordered 42mm space grey black strap sports 8.01 UK confirmation 8.02 my mate ordered exact same 2 days later got his delivered this morning at 9.30 I would not mind if  would at least put out a proper press release and explain what's going on,

They preauthorised my card Tuesday afternoon but haven't actually taken the money they have just got my bank holding it
I always thought when  preauthorises it means your item is about to ship????
It seems to me that perhaps a bunch of orders have been missed for shipping or something I've a feeling they are gonna put this down to a computer glitch

How much was the preauthorization for? The day after I preordered my watch, I had two preauthorizations for about $1 each on my card, but that's all I ever saw. I think this is completely normal, but does not mean that your watch has shipped (unless they charged you for the full amount).

So a product that's really popular and hard to get is a "feck up"?

Here's an easy solution: Next time, don't order it. Then your disappointment will never manifest.

The entitlement on this thread is overwhelming.

They charged £339

Movie anyone!

Here's the only real part that bothers me:

I understand high demand and low supply, which'll lead to extended ship times, delays, etc. Makes complete sense. Sure. Did the watches sell out EXTREMELY quick? Apparently. But we can't change Apple's supply numbers.

But the simple fact that Apple die hard fans (like us) that stayed up or woke up to get early pre-orders in are seeing folks (albeit other Apple die hards) who for some reason or other got their orders in much later receive their watches first is disheartening. Again, understandable if these folks ordered a watch that was in higher supply, but we're seeing it with identical watch styles/combos.

To me, this is an error. This is NOT the Apple we all know and love. There is a procedural/systematical disconnect somewhere along this order fulfillment process, and I think at the least Apple needs to recognize it. I'm sure that basic phone support folks are sick of hearing people call in with questions/complaints about their watch orders, but I think somebody at the C level (Angela, Tim) need to just come out and admit they messed something up here. Please understand I'm not claiming to be a logistical master that can point to what exactly went wrong here (I wouldn't dare), but Apple DOES have those masters. They've proven it with so many previous launches.

This is not a failed launch, that is in no way what I'm implying. This is Apple releasing an awesome product to its millions of fans. But I think it was handled with a flawed process. And the whole miscommunication about no watches available in stores on the 24th is a whole different conversation.

Remember when Antennagate got us all free cases for our iPhones? Maybe early pre-order folks could get a small iTunes gift card for the confusion with all this.

Though I'd settle for a simple apology. Somebody needs to step up and take responsibility for this mess.

"Processing Items" since April 20, 2015 on the 42mm Stainless Steel case with Black Sport Band Like several of you in waiting, woke up today with great disappointment not to receive the anticipated new Apple product on launch day; especially when we all or some of us woke up in the early AM hours to pre-order such!

After several hours on the phone with Apple and chat...it became obvious that they royally screwed up on this one. But, all they can say is that "be happy your watch has taken the first step and being processed," or "you are going to be so happy you waited" What kind of answer is that? That doesn't make the disappointment of not receiving our watches today any better. Also, I noticed that Apple is such a monopoly that it doesn't care if it loses thousand of disappointed repeat customers over this event!!! Where is the apology Apple? Where is the loyalty to your customer? Where is the answers, not excuses for today's event? Please know that I am happy for those that are receiving their watches today. Congrats! But, if you were in our shoes...the ones that are not...please respect our disappointment.

I'm more upset with the fact, that from the beginning, they said this would be strictly Pre-order online Only. Then there was some talk about the watches being available in some boutiques around the world. If the Demand was so high and people are waiting til June, July and August to get various watches, Why on earth are they sending watches to these boutiques and fashion stores. Send that stock to the people who stayed up til 1, 2, and 3 o'clock in the morning and have already given you credit/debit cards and PayPal payments. I've seen at least 1 person on here that ordered the same watch and band as I did, that had a June shipping estimate and got his credit card charged and that it was shipping (he posted photos of his shipping e-mail from Apple).

I don't think Apple truly understands how rabid Apple fans are. They didn't realize we would create support groups and spreadsheets that show orders are not being processed "in order". Come to think of it, I didn't know we were this crazy!

And another thing, they need to fix the Apple Store so that it is available to everybody right at 12:00, it didn't come back for me until 12:03 but obviously it was available for others at 12:00.

Well said. They also could have updated individual shipping estimates. I fully understand they told us 4/24-5/8 but I think most people who confirmed their order 2 to 4 minutes after orders opening up expected to be at the front of that ship window. Even now my card has not been charged for my 42mm stainless with black sport band. It would be nice to know if it will be here May 1st or if indeed it won't be until May 8th. Just my 2 cents.:D
