Exactly! And some will stay this is a sense of entitlement but in fact it is just expecting Apple to do the right thing.

I know right?? The optics of all of this are so wrong!

1) People who ordered well AFTER those who ordered within minuets of pre-orders going live are getting their watches FIRST and on LAUNCH DAY
2) Despite initially saying "this is a brand new way of launching" and "there will be no in-store purchases" that's exactly what they have done albeit at some boutiques for whatever goddamn reason so we have STILL seen queues around the block.
3) The so-called "email of death" do I need to say more? This email in itself was a joke but in the watch's case it is but the cherry on top of this shambolic mess that is the launch.

On top of ALL of this Apple are STILL yet to come out and actually be honest with its customers, they are instead issuing in-house memos (that we no know about) that admit this has all gone terribly but are continuing to leave their die-hard fans in the dark. And as if it wasn't bad enough you try and talk to anyone from their company (online or on the phone) and they are totally CLUELESS and about as helpful as a chocolate teapot.

I am STILL yet to be charged or see any change on my 42mm SS classic buckle order that I ordered within minuets of pre-orders going live but I have heard from more than a few people now that they know people who ordered HOURS after me for the EXACT SAME watch who got their watch TODAY. This is a failure plain and simple and heads need to roll- but this is Apple, they think they can do what they like to their customers so nothing will change.

Very well put. That is ALL I have been trying to communicate as well. Someone on CNET live did an unboxing today of their  Watch black band, (which is what I ordered) and they said that their original ship date was in MAY! And she says that the watch came all of a SUDDEN!!

My order is STILL sitting in a processed status.

There is NO WAY you can say this is right.

Where are you? What model? What was your confirmation time?

After they cancelled my "extra" watch I called Apple support and asked them why they cancelled that particular one. They said that they were randomly selecting orders.

Now I don't know if that means they would have shipped that watch out if I hadn't ordered an extra one or if they were randomly selecting orders that had too many watches.

That's exactly the problem. People in May and June who ordered after the 10th are getting shipments today, when people in April and May who ordered in the first 10 minutes are still waiting to even be charged and probably won't receive theirs for another week or two (or four or six).

It really does seem to be that they are picking them at random, or at least by shipping location rather than by order submitted.

Nice! I did 38mm SG at essentially exactly the same time, and I'm also in LA, so fingers crossed that means mine will be up soon... How do you check the seconds of when you ordered? All I know is I got the confirmation email at 12:04

There's a way you can get more info in the header - I just kept clicking on things until I saw an option for "view full header" or some such. I wanted to know too!!

(p.s. it's coming Monday)

Tech Reviewers

What is quite interesting to me also, is that their is a VERY popular tech reviewer who lives fairly close to me who got HIS watch delivered today, which is the same one I ordered. But mine is still processing. Does that sound random to you?

It may be random, but very interesting.

Indeed which makes a mockery of the entire pre-ordering process. The more that is revealed the most that seems to be wrong with this launch and I would hope there was someone being held accountable for this shambolic performance by the world's largest company.

One thing is for sure, I am never wasting my time with pre-ordering again it simply isn't worth it.

I agree. Still waiting while others with the same model who came after me have Monday dates. I don't care beyond the WHY

I don't think we will ever get the answer

Many on here still don't seem to think Apple as done anything wrong in the slightest and we should simply be happy to be allowed to buy this magical product.
