Picked off my stainless milanese 42, 4/24-5/8. The odd thing is my blue band is shipping 4/29-5/12; the individual bands were already late on launch date.

Ok people, listen up !!!! I want everyone out thier to find all the bugs, complain like hell, do what you gotta do to get updates .1/.2/.3/.4/.5/.6/.6a/.6b/.7out of the way so I can just walk into an Apple Store with no lines and get a great watch in 3 months!! Ok? 3 months, that's it, so get to work test pilots!!!

Supply "constraint" will ease after people try on the watch leading up to the launch

1. no longer interested
2. cancelled the models they don't want

This is a manufactured hype to look good to investors and to sell more. People tend to buy something in demand and if this is not selling out the demand would be weak and product would fail :)

I ordered the 42mm Space Gray sport at 3:03EST and got a May 13-27 delivery estimate. That's crap.

And just because it says 4-6 weeks for us that preordered within 5 minutes, doesn't mean that'll be the case. My cousin ordered his iPhone Space Gray at 10am after the preorders went live, and he got his day 1 despite Apple giving him a Oct-Nov delivery date. Let's just wait and see what happens.

So someone is actually buying the Apple Watch Edition as the delivery dates are slipping for those models as well

Good Choice with the Grey Apple Watch! The Grey Apple Watch Seems to be the front runner according to the buzz on Macrumors.

I felt like the grey one was the classiest out of all of the other Apple Watch Sport configurations. If I didn't get the Space Grey one, I would have opted for the Blue or White one. But that's entirely my opinion :p

Ha Ha! You go to laugh. Its almost like they didn't think anyone would be purchasing after all the months of hype......

I'm going to order Edition. I can't afford it, but by the time it ships, who knows. (Thanks Mitch Hedberg [RIP] for your oven potato joke.)

And eBay sellers are already seeing their chance for a quick dollar. Sports Edition 600$ ... Crazy :)

That's actually not much money. eBay takes a nice chunk of change out of the final sale price. Then PayPal takes another 2% or so. Add in the $35 tax to buy the watch and all the fees and the person makes probably $65. It's still nice but not the $200 you think he is making. Plus, the downside with eBay is that it is so buyer friendly. Everyone has 100% positive feedback and no one can give you a negative. So the buyers will bid something up and then not pay. Then you have to wait 3 days to give the person a chance to pay and then another 4 days before you can close your failure to pay option so you can re-list. Demand in a week will be a lot lower than right now. If that happens once or twice then the reseller is stuck returning it to Apple. A ton of buyers do that on eBay now.

It still might flop and probably will. It's serves no purpose.

The proof will be in the sales numbers. Competitors have a financial incentive to bad mouth the Apple Watch. The truth will reveal itself in the coming months. The sales numbers will be the real judge, and NOT the comments, articles, or even bad reviews.

I agree with poochi this is totally manufactured, apple could easily have estimated what demand there would be, let's face it, it's not something that was going to sit on the shelves gathering dust. It's the same with the iPhone, every year they produce a supply shortage, to make sure it gets in the papers and on the news, loads of free advertising.

Most Watch are showing 4-6 weeks still.
Clearly, customers are looking to get in the game for as little cash as possible for this v1 tech.
Who couldn't have predicted that?

I ordered the SS Space Grey Link Bracelet 42mm at 8:03am (UK) via the app and my email states delivery 12 May, 2015 - 26 May, 2015.

Exactly. Ordered my 38mm Black with Link Bracelet and got the confirmation at 9:03:05 AM here in Germany. Ordered another one (42mm Stainless Steel /w Link Bracelet) for a friend from Latvia directly afterwards (Email Header says 9:03:55 AM). Both through the app. Delivery dates on both are between:

May 12th and May 26th with Express Shipping.

I honestly think that Apple doesn't want to sell a ton of Apple watches right away. It's a first generation product, which means there are going to be some glitches and issues that pop up. They want to keep them in the hands of relatively few early adopters so the issue is more manageable. This explains both the high price and limited availability.

I bet that it will drop in price significantly over the next two years, and supply contraints will disappear.

I'm curious as to what everyone plans to use the new Apple Watch for. I wasn't interested at first, but then heard good reviews about the heart rate sensor, which I could use for working out. The pedometer would also be nice, in combination with apps like MyFitnessPal. Any other ideas on what it could be useful for?

42mm Silver Sport White band 24 April-8 May delivery. Ordered on UK store within first minute. I'm assuming this week window thing is gonna really be launch day! Coveted Milanese but bit pricey and not a good fit for the sensor pickup according to some reviewers, so will get a 3rd-party band on my silver aluminium beauty instead.
