... for you...
Most Watch are showing 4-6 weeks still.
Clearly, customers are looking to get in the game for as little cash as possible for this v1 tech.
Who couldn't have predicted that?
Apple store app was live at 2:01 am (central time,US), First I ordered the 42mm SS White Sport band because the blue leather loop was at 4-6 weeks. I then ordered the 42mm Blue leather band separate and got a 2-4 week ship time. After that order went through I ordered a 38mm Sport White and surprisingly still got a 4/24 arrival date. All in all I am very happy that with both watches I received a 4/24/arrival date and who knows with the band
When it says 2-4 weeks for the timeframe I assume 2 weeks could still mean launch day?!?!
Edit: Finished all orders by 2:09 am (website came up for me at 2:07)
Early 2015 my ass
It still might flop and probably will. It's serves no purpose.
Was so set on the link to replace my SS gshock - glad I made an appointment to try on today - really underwhelmed by the link, it felt cheap as.. The links are way too thin, it needed to be chunkier - opted for the Milanese 42mm - that baby is snug and stylish - not too much for the gym or going out - 10/10 - and the screen is amazing! Well done Apple! Delivery 24-8th.
Also the sport is way too anodized - didn't appeal to me at all in person. Tried silver and black - SS is the winner.
I can't wait to check out the Milanese in store. That's the one I ordered.![]()
That classic buckle is looking mighty tempting.
I agree with poochi this is totally manufactured, apple could easily have estimated what demand there would be, let's face it, it's not something that was going to sit on the shelves gathering dust. It's the same with the iPhone, every year they produce a supply shortage, to make sure it gets in the papers and on the news, loads of free advertising.
From Canada, I ordered my 42mm Space Grey Apple Watch Sport from the Apple Store App within a minute. Got a confirmation email 2 mins later and deliver date April 24 - May 5!
Edit: Here's a picture of that glorious email![]()
The reviews were overall much better than for the first iPhone and the iPad. Besides, The Verge review was still 7/10. Nilay's downers were all pretty minor in my opinion, with the exception of 3rd party apps and location loading slow, but a lot of that is software update fixable (some likely to be processor though admittedly).the reviews were really poor which Apple can't be happy with or have expected. They are used to the press lapping up whatever they release.
Or maybe not and the "experts" around here end up being wrong, as usual, without learning a single thing from the past.
David Pogue's review on Yahoo sold me. I was also troubled after reading The Verge; perhaps having no limitation on notifications also affected the performance of the Watch for him?The reviews were overall much better than for the first iPhone and the iPad. His stuff about notification overload in the bar was stupid - just set up your notifications to lose the junk - or wait for the software update and then buy if you don't want to spend a one-off 5-10 minutes tweaking your setup!
Think differently.

But all the pundits said that the Apple Watch was no good and nobody wanted it and it would be a flop and . . . and . . . and . . .
I ordered at 4:30, 90 minutes after pre-orders began (Milanese, 42) and will now have to wait 4-6 weeks; between May 13 and May 27.
Really? I wake up this early and there still isn't enough product?
The April 24 launch was misleading. Expect lawsuits.
