It simply doesn’t make sense for me to pay extra for the higher end watches. None of them offer any functional benefit, only cosmetic, which if that were most important, I wouldn’t have an Apple Watch to begin with. Although I do quite like the look of the Apple Watch, but it’s always looked more functional and less fashionable.

Bummed that only the Pro watch will have the extra durability and new design. I do like the current Series 7 so will he happy to have a Series 8 with Series 7 body/display.

I bet next year only the Pro model gets the blood glucose and blood pressure monitoring and I will have to buy it. Those are two issues that run in my family that I have been having to watch very closely lately. At least I can justify the price to my wife, lol, and maybe buy it with a health savings account? That's the dream. Help with the taxes. You know Apple wants to get this thing to the point where it can be prescribed by doctors.

So again, for those who don't understand Cook's way of doing things (as compared to Jobs): the pro watch is actually the real Apple Watch. And the regular Apple Watch is now the cheaper, K-Mart version meant to make share holders happy. Same with iPads. Same with iPhones. Same with Macs. The pro is the real device, not a luxury one.

Looking forward to this, but hoping the price is reasonable. I had the original Apple Watch (stainless steel) and it worked great for years. The screen stayed flawless and the casing only had minor cosmetic scratches.

Purchased a Series 4 sport because I wanted something a little lighter. After only a year the screen was scratched to **** and there were actually 2 dents in the casing which makes it extremely difficult to remove or install watch bands with metal connectors. I don't do extreme sports, so these are probably from banging my wrist against something; but it's disturbing that just hitting something while walking can damage the aluminum enough to dent it.

Hoping for something with a sapphire glass screen and a more durable casing that doesn't cost an insane amount.

While I'm dreaming, can we PLEASE add 3rd party watch faces? I really want an always on display with a face that looks real (not these fake digital watch faces).

what planet are you on? I just bought a used series 6 in titanium for less than 300.
I can't even conceive why anybody okay such old tech as a series 3,4 or people with iPhone 5,6,etc would care about the "latest" models....they're not likely going to make that jump.

And...not meaning that in any mean or nasty way. Just that if they have been okay all of this time with something that old, why will they make such a jump now.

Keep in mind that the invasive CGM devices that you can get today are 1k+ plus supplies, so, if/when CGM comes to the AW, you’ll be paying double of what this Pro is rumored to cost… and those who need CGM will gladly pay

Actually digging the design rumors, but the price puts me out of the running. Bought an open box stainless S7 during Amazon's sale, and it's looking like I made the right choice. Even that felt pricey at $500, but if we are pushing $1k for the Pro, I feel a hell of a lot better. Maybe a used or open box pro is in my future 3-4 years down the road. :D
