Fitbit outsells Apple Watch? And something called Xiaomi equals Apple. Wow.

I guess you have no idea about Fitbit offerings. They have quite a bunch of different models. Considering low prices and the fact they have been on this market long before Apple, the numbers make sense

I think the Apple Watch being useful to you at this stage depends on where you live and who you bank with.

My favourite thing about the Apple Watch is Apple Pay. In the London you can use it to enter and exit the Tube/Subway system, no messing with my wallet, just 2 quick presses of the watch's side button and I'm good to go. Paying for items in shops is so fast with it to, much better than using the iPhone.

I like to track my activity and connect it to MyFitnessPal app, and its handy getting the notifications on your wrist, you can either ignore and act on them. When my hands are full or busy, like in the kitchen being able to answer a phone call easy is a nice addition too.

So to me, the Apple Watch is a very useful handy tool. But, if your country/bank or transport/shops does not support Apple Pay yet, and you have no interest in the health side, then i can see why people might not feel the wow of the watch. Give it 5 to 10 years when NFC style things become more common and the watch may start to be seen more useful than some see it today.

I just got back from the Apple Store. It was pretty crowded with holiday shoppers....but, not one customer standing at the Apple Watch Display/Table. For most people, I think it is just too expensive for what it does. Basically, it does very little unless you have an iPhone in your pocket. So, I think a lot of people just buy a cheaper fitness tracker and then use their phone for everything else.

I bought a Pebble for $99 earlier this year. (They were on sale for $69 during black Friday). It does the basic stuff: Notifications, Steps, Date/Time, Stopwatch, Calendar, Weather, Stock Quotes, Sports Scores....nothing fancy....5-7 day battery life.

If I need to do anything more complicated, I pull my iPhone out of my pocket.....no big deal. I can't imagine paying $400 for a watch that needs to be charged everyday. But, that's just me.

Sure Bob.

AppleWatch is the hottest gift this Christmas season.

Apple Watch has got to be the stupidest product ever created. I am amazed that people are willing to spend loads of money on a tiny iPhone screen that does 1% of what an iPhone does, and still needs an iPhone to work...

iPhone is the stupidest product ever created. I am amazed that people are willing to spend loads of money on a tiny 3.5 inch screen that does 1% of what a laptop does....

Those who lack vision don't get it.
