Sept 26-28 got an email about it being shipped. Says delivery Wed 21st. I am located East coast.

I have a small spot where the coating seems to be applied with a tiny dust speck under it. Anyone seen this before? Not sure if i am going to call Apple because of this...

I am one of the people that prob would. SO i would say yes but I am sure some might not see it as a big deal.

I would definitely exchange it. I'd make an appointment and take it into a store. Even if they don't have any to swap out yet, they could document it and order you a replacement.

It almost seems like that is the way they check to make sure you have the money in your account prior to actually preparing for shipment. Mine did the same thing.

Yea. The UPS time+cost calculator online tells me the 20th as well even though apple says 21st. They prob add time to cover themselves.
