Hi

I have the Apple Watch Series 3 with LTE and have noticed that the crown has a different feel. Compared to the 1 and 2, there is much less of a click. In fact, it feels a little stiffer / mushier.

I originally thought it was a fault and replaced it to find the second watch was exactly the same. Guess they changed it? Anyone else notice this?

Thanks
Sergio

Do you have the aluminum or steel? I had a Space Black series 2 and now I have the space black series 3. The click is the same, but the turning the crown is a little stiffer. I tried one in the store and it was the same.

Its an aluminium 42mm. Same as my series 2. Side by side you can feel and hear a difference but I figure since both s3's ive had have been like that then it's likely not a fault. Crown also feels a little stiffer

It's nothing to be concerned with. The manufacturing process is probably not consistent across the board with the digital crown. Some have had different results with how the digital crown pushes and feels when it's rotated. And others have started threads on the same topic as well. Listed below are some for reference. With my Apple Watches, the digital crown is different on mine as well.

I felt that too when I first got my watch. After wearing it for a couple weeks, it feels the same now.

I have the 42mm stainless steel and it's silky smooth but I'm washing it a lot after workouts and swims so no salty sweat build up in the crown.

I have the Edition gray 42 mm AW. I agree that the crown feels "mushier," and I hear no click when I press it. What really bothers me is that you need to press and release the crown very quickly if you don't want to bring up Siri.

Yeah that's the same as the two I've had now. If I hadn't owned a series 2 and 0 I probably wouldn't be bothered. It's just the fact that it may not be correct that bothers me a bit. Oh well!
