That red sticker on the dial looks awful.
I agree with you. So when I get mine I’ll be ordering a set of these for my Space Black model:

For those who want to cover the red crown, doesn’t seem like a bad option at all.

Still don’t get why I should pay $10 a month for LTE access when LTE speeds are of little use given the form factor, and the battery dies if you rely on it for more than a few hours a day.
They’ve been pretty good recently about under promising and over delivering when it comes to shipping times. I’ve gotten a few accessories recently and they’ve shipped much sooner than initially estimated.
Well, looks like you don’t need one then. Why are you wasting your time in these forums ?
I think the answer is clearly that YOU should not. This is obviously not something that you are looking for.
I returned two yesterday, I think there will be number of people like me that need the watch to work in the USA and tethered to a international phone as well. I will need to wait until this feature becomes available in the future. Europeans have the problem much worse than those of us in Asia due to the proximity of countries.
Ever tried using it for Apple Pay? This is a very useful feature on any Apple product. If you all remember the original Apple Watch Edition the one gold one had a red crown. And Tim Cook’s personal Apple Watch always had a red crown. I like it the red crown but I’m done buying Apple Watches until it does glucose monitoring or redesigned. Have a ss series 0 and ss Black series 2 sitting around here somewhere and probably should sell them since I rarely wear them.
I agree, and if Apple allowed a selection of one from multiple band colors, I would be more than happy and have placed my order a week ago!Actually, for most who actually wear the Apple Watch, you can't even see the red dot based on the orientation of the watch on the wrist. I actually think it looks really good paired with a space black stainless or space gray aluminum model.

Part of me thinks though, Apple is reaching out for all demographics. The Apple Watch isn't just for males, it's for all ages and genders alike. And I think they want the Apple Watch to be uniform across the board, not just specifically for one person. But as you mentioned, any Apple Watch color can be suitable for anyone.
Yes I use Apple Pay but usually with my phone; perhaps if I sell my current watches I'll get an LTE one I might wear it more since I hate carrying my phone around. My 85 y/o mom ordered the 42mm LTE gold sport with the woven band. Delivery was ETA as 3rd week in Oct, but it delivered today.
Apparently she is not too thrilled with the gold color ("cheap"); it remains to be seen if she will return it, or exchange it. (She has a Series-0, 42mmm aluminum sport, originally with a white band, now with a Product Red band.)

This is true. All of my family in the USA replaced their Series-0, with the new LTE, but I'm going to stay with my Series-0 until I know I can roam with it. (This limitation makes the watch crazy impractical for Europeans or international business travelers.)

If you like red. For such a “personal”, customizable device, its total garbage. And very un-Apple like to force a non neutral colorThat red sticker on the dial looks awesome.

I’m disappointed they chose to market the gold watch as a female watch, removing many dark masculine options (liek the stereotypical male watch gold-navy blue combo) in exchange for a single, pink option.
Yes pink doesn’t have to be feminine but the statistics show it is predominantly preferred by women.

So what you're sayng is that those who like it enough to buy it don’t see it, but everyone else, who may not like it, do see it (on other people)? That’s a good argument in its defence, is it?
I think it looks bad, but if people like it fair enough. I just don’t think it should be forced on people who want an LTE watch. But then I should probably shut up because I wouldn’t buy the LTE version anyway so I should be happy they didn’t decide to only put it on the non-LTE versions...![]()
Nocan the apple watch be used completely as stand alone GSM device? I'm planning to ditch iphone!
Why shouldn't you be able to roam with it? It should use the same data plan as your iPhone (which is why I don't get the monthly fee). Also inside EU carriers have to allow you (by EU law) to use your plan the same way abroad as if you were in your country (with no additional fees)This is true.
