Just creating a thread for us to post series 4 discounts since they are discontinued. Personally I’m coming from a series 3. Series 5 doesn’t do anything for me unless I go with a titanium finish but at that cost. It’s just kinda like. Is it worth it for me. Usually I wouldn’t think twice but now that I’m newly married and wife relocated so she isn’t working yet. Money is a tad tighter than it normally would be.
Basically I’m just looking for a good deal on a SS 44mm series 4 watch... So let’s post some deals on series 4 watches.

I almost bought a series 4 watch when Best Buy had their Labor Day sale (would be my first Apple watch), but thought it was worth a few days wait to see what series 5 offered. Now kinda wish I had bought then, but will look again for discounted series 4, but if no good sales found will buy series 5.

I was about to star the same thread....the series 5 is nearly identical to the series 4, no speed difference, just always on screen. It would be great to snag a series 4 now. I would hope they come down to a starting price of at least $299.

Bought the S4 during this sale, but haven't opened it on the chance the prices fall below $350 during my return window. However, since the S5 really isn't all that different, I'm thinking they won't actually greatly reduce the S4.

Currently, B&H and Amazon have reduced their prices on the base models since yesterday. They are between $375-$380.

I’m seeing some in the used sites like Craigslist and fb marketplace for as low as $250

Just a couple weeks ago, Sprint had all of their watches half off. It was like $270 for a series 4 with cellular? Sort of kicking myself for passing on it.

This was what I did, and I also had a $25 reward. I’m glad I pulled the trigger when I did.

Usually the biggest discounts occur with the SS models. I remember when Series 3 came out, the Series 2 SS models were on fire sales.

After the Series 3 came out, I was able to snag a Series 2 from Best Buy at the end of October for $229.
The series Series 3 (similar to this year) was not that huge of an upgrade from the Series 2.

So hopefully the same will happen this year. Give it a month or two and a bunch of retailers will start discounting heavily to clear out stock.

Thanks for the thread. I’m going to wait and see what happens with the S4 discounts. I’m leaning towards buying a used one, but if there’s a good deal for a new one I might pull the trigger. I’ll be keeping an eye on this thread.

Looks like Best Buy has them for $50 off. Good deal or no?
Not for me as the always on feature and compass on Series 5 is worth $50 (for me). If you were talking $75 to $100 discount for a Series 4, I'd definitely bite on that.

I picked up mine late July at Target when it was $50 off, was a little bummed about the Series 5 but it made my decision not to purchase Apple Care easy, I would have been bummed had I spent the extra $ on AppleCare for a watch that will probably be worth much less by the time my warranty is out :)

I am debating on selling my SS AW4 as Apple is offering only $110 in trade. Need to decide soon before the market is flooded...
the quote I received from Apple regarding SS AW3 was $70 !!!! totally not worth getting SS on future models.

But probably worth it if you plan to hang on to your watch for a long time, since SS has the sapphire crystal display that won’t scratch as easily.

If someone can wait, Black Friday sales should really boast some decent discounts. Retailers will be looking to liquidate any stock they might have, I’m sure they’ll probably be some ‘flash sales’ online as well.
