Picked up a refurbished AW4SS. No bleeding issues with the display but SLIGHT scratch in the SS body. Torn on keeping/returning. It’s so slight.

Amazon is doing 20% off returned AW4 via warehouse deals. Since they have matched BestBuy their returned ones are also discounted plus the 20%
This means I just bought one for $250, used-very good.

Odds are you are going to scratch it more in general use over the years. If the display is perfect, I would keep it.

I had a gold aluminum series 4 that I was able to sell for $300. I was going to upgrade to the series 5, but i decided I wanted a stainless and did not want to pay $750 for a brand new s5 stainless. Instead I bought a used series 4 in gold stainless for only $395. I get the upgraded stainless look for only a few bucks out of pocket.

So I got an offer from someone I know for series 4 44mm aluminum GPS only for $263. There are some scratches on the screen from daily use, but that is about it. Do you think it is a good deal or should I wait?
I feel like you can find a brand new/better condition for a few more bucks. Totally depends on how bad you think the scratches are.

Thanks for the advice. I ended up bought it and the scratches weren't that bad. No visible after I put the screen protector on. Now,I am a happy AW S4 owner!!

use cape cod to polish it out
This only works with the silver. When Apple looked at the refurb with the scratch their comment was that even a refurb should not come scratched. They offered me $50 off the AW4SS and I took it. I love the 4. I don’t need anything in the 5 and I am happy that I get 48+ hours of battery life. I don’t care about AOD. Heck, if I go for a long drive I put my watch in Theater Mode because it is so sensitive it keeps coming on.

I would be curious and more cautious to know who actually is refurbishing these Apple Watches direct from Amazon? I mean, is it certified through Apple or a third-party repair. Any time I see ‘Used-very good’, I personally would be questioning where they’re coming from refurbished.

I have a Series 2 that I've had for 3 years. It is stainless steel and still in great condition. I just wanted to update for the bigger screen and slimmer body. I don't really care for an always on display so I looked for a good used Series 4 stainless steel on Swappa. I'm kind of spoiled with SS now but I'm not going to pay the price for a new series 5 in SS and it doesn't have good resale value after. I'm really waiting for sleep tracking. Series 5 doesn't have sleep tracking so I'm not going that route yet.

I found a Series 4 44mm Silver Stainless Steel on Swappa for $350. I thought that was a killer deal so I bought it. I was going to pay over $800 last year for a Series 4 but decided against it because I really want a good sleep tracking function.

I'm going to keep my Series 2 and use it for the gym so I don't have to continuously change bands for the gym because of sweating lol first world problems.

These are not refurbed but returns back to Amazon purchased direct from Amazon. I buy a good number of warehouse deals and very rarely am I unhappy. If it's bad I can return it to Amazon for the cost of shipping or free shipping if it doesn't work..

For those in the UK, the BT shop are selling the 44mm Gold Stainless steel with stone sports band, for a rather puzzling £499! I ordered on Wednesday, received mine today

I was looking at the Series 5 but after a side by side comparison of specs I am holding on to my Series 4. My mom however wants to get a watch this years so I will get her the Series 5 since it has the always on display.

So I received my AW4 40mm 'Used-Very Good' from Amazon that I paid $250.

It's BRAND NEW with damaged packaging, still had the plastic wrap on the watch face in the little velour wrap, updating to WatchOS 6 right now. A little sorry I didn't go for SS but the spouse wasn't happy I was replacing a gifted Gen 0 SS 42mm that works fine, the 40mm Al was the compromise :)

I will check out what Amazon has available in Series 4. Other than that, I am not seeing much of a discount near me - $50 off at Best Buy. For $50 off, I will buy a Series 5. This will be my first Apple watch and I plan to keep it for as long as possible.

And now mysteriously £749.99! Hope some of you grabbed a bargain

Costco and Amazon both have the Series 4 GPS + Cellular 44" models for $369 which is $160 discount compared to the Series 5.

Not seeing much of a discount on the Serries 4 GPS + cellular in 40 mm size. The best pricing seems to have been Best Buy's Labor Day sale and I waited wanting to be certain of what the Series 5 would have.
Now $50 off is all I am seeing, so just about to go ahead and get the Series 5 - this will be my first Apple watch.
