So iPhone is included???

2 hours for Apple watch and iPad Air is not enough time. What are they going to do take one hour to announce each product, LOL.

Apple is the best when it comes to keeping a SECRET. No one seems to know the exact truth.
Who said it’d be 2 hours? Apple only ever provides start times for their events. They do provide calendar events that you can add to your own calendar, but those are always set at a 2-hour duration regardless of how long they intend for the event to last. They regularly go under, and sometimes they go over.

Mark Gurman now confirming sources say next week's even is for the iPad and Apple Watch only, with another event scheduled for October for the iPhone (and perhaps the first Apple Silicon Mac) due to the delays it has suffered due to the pandemic. It seems the iPhone 12 will arrive in October and 12 Pro in November.

I half believe that they might announce the iPhones as well, with late Oct shipping.

I mean, I added the Apple Event in calendar as per usual and noticed the same 2hr timeframe which would be too long without the iPhone revel. 🤔

That's really interesting. They list MacBook, MacBook Pro and iMac, but not MacBook Air, Mac mini and Mac Pro.

And what are the products rumoured to get Apple Silicon first? The 24" iMac, a new 13" MacBook Pro 2TB3 port model, and a new 12" MacBook.

Of course, there is also a good chance that the ones who made this YouTube video don't have any clue themselves what Apple will launch so they just came up with those tags themselves based on what they read on MacRumors…

We know that AMD is coming out with three big Navi chips soon. Will Apple finally give MacBook purchasers , iMac purchasers and Mac mini purchasers a high-end consumer selection of graphic chips for their machines? Will we see a Mac mini pro with a couple of slots? Should be very interesting next week.

i have a feeling that this is geared towards the back to school event and a great time to push for macs and ipads due to the pandemic and online classes...🤷‍♂️

Makes total sense to have the Mac keywords. If they got a product bold enough to replace Intel they almost have to show it off months before a late 2020 sale. They said the first Apple Silicon Mac will be available late 2020... they need at least a few months to show it off. And I doubt they would just update the website. This event is the perfect venue to get everyone excited for Apple products.

There’s no Apple Silicon keyword I think because that’s a developerWWDC term... not a product search term.

A MacMini Pro is the dream for me. But I kinda doubt Apple needs AMD... Apple could easily make their own dedicated GPU... Just look at how fast the iPad GPU is... With Metal matured and OpenGL / Windows dead- I think Apple is on the path to own all of its hardware. Down to the USB controller..

This may be my first Apple Watch. I’m getting to that age where some health sensors are a good idea. 😝

Hmm... no Apple Silicon.
What's to say that wouldn't be covered in the MacBook/MacBook Pro/iMac sections? It's not like they're going to drop a line of standalone chips, they'll only ever be available as part of an Apple device, so it would make sense that they talk about them in that context.

What is interesting to me is that it lists all three Mac products that we expect to be getting apple silicone first. That includes the MacBook that is currently discontinued. Seems kinda odd to add that keyword specifically.

Could be that this is an "Apple Silicone" event focusing on the watch, iPad air, MacBook, MacBook Pro 13", and 24" iMac. That would certainly fill a 2hr timeslot. Then October would be left solely for the iPhones.

Apple branded “silicone”? You know what if GE makes “silicone” so could Apple ;)

If they don’t announce the new iPhones here, they could round the event out with a new Apple TV at least. I can’t believe how long it’s been since that was updated.

Good point, but Apple is not done yet with the Intel so they needed to have a high performance graphics chip until they can upgrade all models. Like a high-end MacBook Pro 16 or the top end iMac units that could still be 2 to 3 years out to replace the top end of Apple Mac hardware line.

Pretty underwhelmed with watch 6 rumours so far. I’d honestly trade all the “you might be dying right now” gadgetry for just good old longer battery life...

Yeah in which case the current hardware product model still works (Intel/AMD)... I doubt Apple will invest any significant time reengineering Intel Macs with AMD. They will still have poor cooling systems etc.

As for AMD for Apple Silicon, I’m curious if Apple prefers that partnership or they prefer to do it themselves.

Then that brings the question to my mind. Does Apple care about ray tracing? Will we see hardware ray tracing in mobile Apple products? Will we see Apple hardware ray tracing in their desktops? With Apple so card behind Nvidia and AMD in the ray tracing game I wonder if they can even get into it.. What patents is Apple not able to license vs what do they already have patented in the ray tracing game.

Yeah but the watches main purpose is to support your health.. Everything else it does worse than the iPhone
