I'm on a 4.
This is my upgrade year.
You are long overdue.Should be a great time to upgrade from my Series 3!
Same here, still on s0. Although i can still answer calls and receive all of my notifications.I still use my S0 daily - I can still get a full day's use out of it on a full charge (although I generally keep it in Theatre Mode) and it's as fast as it ever was... which isn't very fast. The integration between iOS 14 and WatchOS 4 isn't very good - notifications missing, failure to answer phone calls on the watch, etc. but hey, it still tells the time.
Maybe it's time to upgrade.
You are going to make the Prosserites mad.Waiting for Kuo to open his mouth. Can't really take Prosser seriously.
I didn't realize you were a tech sadist.I’ll stick with my Series 3 until it’s dropped from watchOS updates.
And you will (once you have the new watch) wonder why you didn't purchase sooner. This year will be my first Apple Watch.
I need something more than thinner to make me upgrade my series 6. I don't think we will see any major features this year (medically speaking). If this is true my series 4 is gonna be headed to eBay
I actually got my Series 3 as an open box clearance return from Best Buy not long after launch. It still had the plastic on it and was eligible for Apple Care, so I think it was literally opened once and then returned.Best Buy tends to run sales on the prior gen watch a few months after the new one is released. I got my stainless S5 about 4 months after the S6 was released for $300 off MSRP.
New sensors would be great, I agree, but I really think more battery would be good too, especially for those that want the sleep tracking. I really just want it so I could wear it for a couple days without recharging. My guess is that battery size is mainly unchanged, Apple has been sticking to 18hrs from the get go and they are not going to double that.
I would hope for new sensors but we will have to wait
I believe another earlier report said the watch will be slightly thicker but on the order of 1mm or so give or take. But this is the one apple device that I personally want to get thinner. It’s very chunky and catches on things frequently. If the S7 is truly smaller, Apple will definitely not put in a larger battery; they'll instead use this opportunity to make the watch thinner (as they are wont to with everything else) and give us no improvement in what they surely see as already good-enough battery life.
that would actually makes sense ... guess we'll have to see what happensNew sensors would be great, I agree, but I really think more battery would be good too, especially for those that want the sleep tracking. I really just want it so I could wear it for a couple days without recharging.
The Apple Watch is actually the one device I want them to make thinner. They've all been around 11mm since the first generation. I feel like a skinny version would be subtler on the wrist, in addition to getting caught on clothing less.If the S7 is truly smaller, Apple will definitely not put in a larger battery; they'll instead use this opportunity to make the watch thinner (as they are wont to with everything else) and give us no improvement in what they surely see as already good-enough battery life.
