If these new sizes are correct will they keep the series 9 in the lineup at a cheaper price and then what will happen to the SE?

This is really starting to feel like the splintered lineup that ruined Apple in the late 80s and early to mid 90s before Jobs came back and saved his company.
Gurman did say that the SE 3 may start at a cheaper price of $199.

If the new SE starts at that cheaper price then I guess they can keep selling the S9 at $300 if they wanted to.

If it's bigger, does it get better battery life?
That’s my biggest request. Better battery life. When doing workouts, navigation, it needs to charge in the evening. Can’t get a full day on battery.

How will those health features work when it needs to get charged during nighttime?

How come other brands are able to get at least 48 hours on battery life while delivering the same options if not more? Fitbit, Garmin

If they make all the models more like the ultra, with a flat face, and make them all lighter, that could be good. I’ll wait and see how it is in person.

About time to upgrade my S7 but I’m not seeing a lot of compelling reason to.

I would like the Apple Watch to be at least 50% thinner. I don't even need the heart monitor. It's a freaking dome under there.

They cads don’t show a flat face

I'm curious to see what is fully announced, I am very much considering moving out of the AWU category to the normal series watch category, as great as a novelty the AWU is, I don't use the features that make the AWU the AWU, the only thing I love about it is the bigger screen, and now that the main line is getting the 49 mm screen, I think its time to save a bit of money and move to the main line Apple Watch Series

What about 5G? It's the main reason I want to upgrade as providers have moved all efforts over to 5G and 4G is just limping along low. In some situations I have no 4G reception at all whereas 5G is doing just fine. I am not buying a new AW for years to come when 4G is already giving me trouble today.

The screen size thing sounds very very strange. I'm not sure I believe it's true. I mean I see so many people with the smaller casing Apple Watch.

I myself went from a 42mm Series 2 to a 44mm Series 4 and then to a 41mm Series 7 beause the large one got too big for me and I'm a male. Of course the fact I have no muscular mass makes it that I have small wrists but even men wear the smaller model. Contrary to what I thought at first that the smallee casing is especially made for women.

So the "smaller model" is bigger (46 mm) than the 45 mm yet somehow the screen is smaller than the 45mm casing? That makes 0 sense.

Also, the watch is already thick enough, making it even fatter on your wrist is laughable.

5G is not a priority for the Apple Watch. I understand your problem, but I think it's all about power usage and 4G is fast enough for doing Apple Watch stuff like take calls and streaming audio. I don't see 5G coming to the Apple Watch any time soon.

Who writes this? You list the 2 new health features as features but then you go „well actually it’s not gonna happen this year“

And what „fresh design“ there is no design refresh, it’s just bigger
Probably ran it through AI and had it write it for them. The writing on Macrumors is suspect at best from these "writers"

No need for 5G on the AW, phone calls, messaging and music streaming don’t need it.
And 4G or LTE is part of 5G, it’ll be another 10 years before it gets turned off

Seriously? 46 and 49?

Ugh. And my 45mm 7 is too big, I was considering upgrading to a 41mm.
Yeah, I am a little concerned about the larger size of the smaller size LOL! I have small wrists and anything larger would look unsightly on me. Plus, what about kids and smaller sized people?
