There is a feature setting on Apple Watch called:
  • "Supports Apple Watch For Your Kids"
This is for parents with kids who don't have iPhones but do have an Apple Watch. How is this going to work for kids with small wrists if this rumor of larger sizes is true? I don't get it.

No kid should have a normal Apple Watch, the most they should have is an SE...., with as many features limited as they can

I hope they continue to offer the 41mm. Anything bigger is too big for me. I tried and returned an ultra. Come on apple, not everyone wants bigger. We want thinner, better battery life, and more features. We also would love to have more watch faces that don’t require some special aps to use which still dont work right.

I currently have S4 SS 44mm. Prior to that I had S2 SS 42mm. The upgrade from S2 to S4 was very significant and hence I was able to justify it. Now I feel that going from S4 to S9 is less of an upgrade than when going from S2 to S4.
No matter what S10 offers, I have no desire to upgrade. I use my watch for daily cycling / walk workouts and Apple Pay. I dont use it for anything else, so I dont mind skipping another generation which most likely will be another disappointment.

What about 5G? It's the main reason I want to upgrade as providers have moved all efforts over to 5G and 4G is just limping along low. In some situations I have no 4G reception at all whereas 5G is doing just fine. I am not buying a new AW for years to come when 4G is already giving me trouble today.
5G will eat up battery, I am not sure whether Smart Watches require 5G bandwidth besides, 5G Network should be backward compatible.

Seems Apple doesn’t know what to do but make things bigger, a watch is the last thing I want bigger, I like how my 40mm s6 doesn’t bulge off my wrist. Was looking forward to the 41 since it just has smaller bezel. I wouldn’t mind if it was 42 with no bezel but bigger is a let down

Wait I thought the rumors was it would be thinner? But now it will go from 10.7mm depth to 11.6mm depth?

The rumours where bull***t for anyone who had any knowledge of the Watch.

Magnetic bands? They only introduced the Ultra 2 years ago and they stuck with the same band system, plus your watch would fall off if you knocked it or someone grabbed it. Clearly this wasn’t going to happen.

Thinner? Well given one of the main complains of the watch is battery life there was no way it was getting any thinner.

Wow, i am speechless. One of the worst Apple watch updates ever. I am still on my AW 4 and will be for a long time. I think Apple stopped innovation since Covid. Most of their workers are chilling in home office.
Yeah I'm still on a 4 as well and have never seen an essential feature update that drew me to a get a newer model. I probably wouldn't be looking at the 10 if it weren't for the discontinued support for the 4 (well played, Apple...sigh).

I would like the Apple Watch to be at least 50% thinner. I don't even need the heart monitor. It's a freaking dome under there.
Well, maybe they weren't aware that you don't need a heart monitor until you posted this. I'm sure Apple will remove it from the watch as soon as they see this.

So you want Apple to somehow find a way to defy the laws of physics? 🤣

Your AWS4 will not suddenly stop working, it will just be on an older version of WatchOS. I have an S5 and considering waiting another year, but I am a serious Apple Watch user and could possibly benefit from an upgrade for the 2 a days.

If you wanna see innovation, look at Garmins Epix/Fenix Series. Constant improvements, also cheaper versions like the Enduro.

I don't understand why Apple is making the watch larger. The 46mm model is too big for most female wrists. My wife will be upgrading to an apple watch 9 41mm or an SE of there is a 41mm because the 46mm model is just to big.
Seriously - I was going to give my wife my SE2 whenever I upgrade, and she told me the 44 was too big for her. I can't imagine them making the smallest option 46mm - not everyone wants a massive Ultra on their wrist.

I bet it will be 42mm and 46mm sizes, as some few people have predicted basing it on case size (as always) and not screen size. Crazy how lazy journalism has become to just copy paste the 45/49 "rumour" during the whole summer.
