Personally, I'm freaking excited about this!
I noted how Sullivan was impressed that it "had become an essential part of this person's life". Even Tim Cook recently said he "couldn't live without it".
Is that just marketing hype
It will be better because of the security of having it around your waist and not having to take it out and potentially drop it when you have a high heart rate and sweaty hands.I see a lot of people running around with their smartphones strapped to their <insert body part here>s. All they need now is the Apple Watch and a fanny pack to hold their phones now. It'll be *much* better. (seriously)
Which is unlike me as I bought a first gen iPhone and 1st gen iPad. But after owning a Galaxy Gear Fit before making my return back to the iPhone, I'm going to have to pass.
I wouldn't compare any Apple first product to a Samsung's, but I can understand your point.
I didn't miss any Apple products, but I'm skeptic about Apple watch. We'll see.
Indeed!I honestly bought the Gear Fit hoping to get the best of both worlds. I loved the form factor and the functionality. The pedometer wasn't the most accurate in the world but otherwise it was good. However after a while, the novelty started to wear off. The only way I'd buy an Apple Watch is if it had a proper GPS. I'm looking to buy a Garmin or a Suunto, but would love to buy an Apple Watch instead.
Indeed!
The lack of a dedicated GPS receiver is the no go point for me.
I stopped wearing a watch around seven years ago as everywhere I look I can see a clock: in the car, in the house, on my computer, etc. When I did wear one I felt guilty for wasting money if I spent $100 on a watch. $350 is just not going to happen. In addition I just haven't seen any reports of what it's supposed to do that make me even want to consider it. If I had an extra $350+ burning a hole in my pocket I've got better things to spend it on than an accessory for my phone.
Same here, i think it will be third generation before we see GPS in it.
