This is stupid!!! People who do this s*** are extremely frustrating. And yet I'm the consumer who is "still processing."

Mean while people like me are waiting until June for their apple watch and these jackasses are destroying them for no reason. Really pissing me off.

A CNet video shows the new Apple Watch Sport undergoing a variety of torture tests in a kitchen setting to see how well it holds up to a variety of abuse.

Previously, video bloggers have subjected the Sport's Ion-X screen and the Sapphire screen to a variety of scratch tests.

YouTube: video
The video shows the Apple Watch Sport holds up remarkably well in various scenarios. The watch is washed, submerged in water for 10 minutes, boiled, grated, spilled on, dropped and finally smashed with cast iron skillet. The Apple Watch Sport screen did shatter with the skillet impact, but seemed to remain perfectly functional until that point.

The Apple Watch was officially launched today with pre-order deliveries arriving for the first customers.

other than the initial water resistance test, the video was dumb and pointless.

Even that seems somewhat pointless. I feel like we need some extended water tests. What about once it's underwater for like 10 hours? Or dipped in water every day for a month straight. Obviously I'm aware we'll have to wait for a while on that one, but that's the real water resistance I care about. Can this be worn in the shower, in the pool, etc.

Celebrating wanton wastefulness for a gag like this always reminds me of how hard we have to work to raise every damn dime of money for food, water, basic medicine, and textbooks for kids.

She makes me very nervous the way she uses that knife. She seems kind of careless in her review while thinking it's comical.

I mean it's not a bad review, but why not just be serious and treat it like a serious review?

I know, I started to cringe when I saw that. I was thinking, WTF, you're setting a bad example. Someone's gonna do that and that knife is going to glance off the screen and hack into a finger.

Next up.... Will it blend?

The original idiots.

Next up.... Will it blend?

I work with red hot nickel balls all day long, and am more interested how long different Apple watch models can stand heat. Should I get aluminium, steel or gold model? Probably the steel, because it likely has the highest melting point. But until there's a youtube video comparison of all the three, I can't decide.

Ok:mad:

This is just over the top.

I'm sure there should be some laws in the UN for crimes of this nature. One against humanity for making us watch and the other for what happened to the watch.

The problem with heat is not the watch itself, its the battery. All lithium batteries will be badly affected if you stay all day in heat (over 30 Celcius). Apple doesn't recommend using any Apple device at over 35 Celcius (were you can get quick irreversible damage), but longevity of battery is affected before that. That's will occur with all electronic devices using lithium batteries, not just Apple devices.

You were facetious; but in some jobs, you couldn't wear any smart watch or you'd likely mess it up quick. I worked in a factory in my late teens (made cans of all type, which uses sheet metal) as a summer job and temp there was close to 40 Celcius for 2 months in the summer.

This hurt to watch. Also, did anyone else notice that the screen looked kinda messed up way before the skillet got applied to it?

Stupid Pills

Most of us take the odd stupid pill but these people were taking them by the hand full. The only thing she forgot was to put it in the crapper then fish it out.

Anyone else see a frowny face in the glass after it's smashed by the skillet?

A beautiful, amazing piece of technology destroyed for the sake of a YouTube gag. Kind of sad.

I couldn't help myself but cringe during every test, yelling out 'ARE YOU CRAZY, WOMEN? WHY ARE YOU EVEN DOING THAT.'

Its a Watch Woman, It is not Pizza!!!!!!

Amazing:

Would you cook your watch!!!!
I would not ever let that woman drive my car!!!!!!
