Smart. I've had things miraculously go missing sometimes from the Amazon drivers themselves delivering me an empty package that was opened.
 
Is it just me but not a fan of the ultra look. Clearly I’m on the edge as the watch is freaking popular. Must be the orange button.
 
I’ll be using a black Milanese band so what I buy doesn’t matter. I’ll go with the least popular.

I cannot believe people think that every single product released by Apple should be targeted towards every single consumer.

well, for someone out there that has a Series 2 Apple Watch… the Ultra 2 is amazing.

$800. Not one good, band option. Preferred the previous Alpine Loop colors. I don't even know how its possible to prouduce 9 options and not one be good. Unless it's deliberate. Are they poaching the BMW Design team?

There are rumors of a new magnetic band attachment mechanism that will create more room internally for a bigger battery. I don't think this would be a good idea for a rugged outdoor watch like the Ultra. Too many scenarios where a magnetic attachment can get pulled off. That is, unless its has a locking feature with a pin that locks it into place but takes up way less room.

Same here. I sprung for the Ultra a few months after launch last year and I was definitely a little annoyed they were releasing an update/upgrade so short into the lifecycle. It’s all marketing on this upgrade to generate sales. The case is unchanged and it supposedly has a faster chip, better battery, yada yada yada. You know the drill.

If they make a major change to the Ultra for the year X thing, I’ll probably bite. Two years is fine for me with the current Ultra. Hopefully they will give me something decent on trade value.

Completely agree. I’m also running the new chrono face and loving it.

I’m ordering the 15 PM this morning. I do get the new phone annually. It’s become extremely anticlimactic.
 
I've pre-ordered mine to collect in-store as I also plan to give my old Series 6 as credit. I'm not sure what band size to get so to avoid going around in circles, I will pick it up on the Saturday 23rd.

I've decided on the Alpine loop as I don't like velcro or silicone bands, but I will also pick up a nice leather band to go with it for day to day usage.

Any recommendations on leather bands?

If you are active with your watch like I am. I’ve found myself always going back to the silicone band my ultra came with. All the other options collect sweat and don’t dry quickly when swimming.
 
Cancelled my order with Apple and placed an order with Best Buy. My Ultra 2 with the Orange/Beige Trail Loop Band will be delivered next Tuesday. Apple had me scheduled for delivery 10/20 to 11/7.

I preordered on Amazon on the 13th and even though it shipped yesterday, its showing delivery as Tuesday the 26th as well.
